.
Great little camera, easy to wire up & easy to understand the instructions from the manual but I find it easier with the WiFi connection on my phone for settings etc. Easy to install on windscreen with the provided clear adhesive sticker, I found that if I plug the usb c lead into the side of the camera then the gps still works without having to plug it into the gps module itself. I'm using a Samsung evo micro sd card 128gb haven't had an issues with recording since using the camera as long as its formatted to FAT32

Quality video
Very good camera in general, good quality in day time and night time although it can always be better. Small and compactThe only big negative was that its not very sticky so it did fall off a few times and still worried about it falling now

Simply great
New car so figured should invest in a dash cam. Used donager adapter to connect to my kia sportage. Dash came is small and was easy to set up and connect. Neat installation with the adapter.Cheapest dash cam about with the new starvis 2 sensor. Really enhances the night recording.Had to buy a sd card in addition but really happy with quality of picture, how neat the camera looks and ease of reviewing footage on the app.Would recommend

Quality Dashcam
Been using for a few months now and always does its job. I’ve got it wired into a USB port in my car so it’s only on when I’m driving.Video quality is good for this price range.

Some good features, but some drawbacks too and not great value
The obvious advantage of a small dashcam like this is that it won’t block your driving view. It’s very easy to set up, and the screen/buttons let you access all the function easily. The app is reasonable, and allows you to alter settings and play back video, but it would be easier to use if it were more intuitive and responded to commands more quickly. You can tweak almost everything from record timings to quality. The audio control works up to a point, but is a little redundant, as in most cases you could pull over safely and just press the required function. I liked the GPS tagging, which can be used to prove location and speed if required. The 140° degree camera gives a wide field of vision. The video capture quality depends on he conditions. In favourable light, and at lower speeds, the picture is clear and licence plates readable. It’s not so good at dusk, with some blurring, though it’s somewhat better at night. Although it has a STARVIS sensor, I think the internal circuitry is letting down a great camera lens.It supports memory cards of up to 512 GB capacity. The shape is a bit stocky, so that bumps on the road can make it jiggle, decreasing recording quality. For a new camera, the design is very dated. There are plenty of alternatives available which work and look better and cost less. I’ve found it a bit frustrating, so I’ve gone back to my older HD only camera, which works better and cost only £100.

Not bad overall - VIOFO Mini Dash Cam A119 MINI 2
Overall this isn't a bad camera. I say that as on one hand it has its quirks that seem cheap and cheerful, on the other hand it has a lot of functionality built in.It's easy enough to install, you peel the protective thing off the lens, clean the window where it's going, peel the sticky pad and stick it on. Run the USB lead (which is really long so that's a great touch right there) and plug it in.The kens is mounted in a vertical swivel so you can adjust it up & down to suit, but left-right you need to stick it in the right place.I noticed that the wideness of the lens angle is rather wide too. I've had some that just about pick up what's directly in front of the windscreen, this one picks up what's either side too.You will need to get your own Micro SD though as it doesn't come with one.Once formatted (it's in the menu) it will start recording as soon as the power is applied, and it tells you what it's doing too with voice announcements. The menus are easy enough to navigate if you've ever used one like it before, and it has a bunch of functions built in, too much to list here as I'd end up writing the manual to explain them all! Suffice to say you can set time, date etc and it has GPS coordinates to stamp on the video, impact detection to protect the recording, wireless connectivity and all sorts of other useful stuff you didn't know you might need!... and it has voice commands too! Not sure if my accent helps but sometimes it didn't recognise me! lolAnyhoo, the initial impression of this was that it didn't really reflect the pricetag of £159.99, and I have to be brutally honest and say my "jury" is still out on that one, but given all the functionality built into it it's quite a comprehensive bit of kit.Overall not bad at all. I was torn between a 3-star "it's quite good if quirky" and a 4-star "pretty good overall" so I give it the 4 stars as, given all the functionality built in, it is "pretty good overall".Still not cheap though!
