MS. MARVEL VOL. 8: MECCA

Another well written collection
Another amazing entry for this series. This one hit me a little hard, with its main story arc being rooted deeply in current events within the US. I feel like it dealt with issues ranging from radicalization to discrimination through an interesting lens, albeit with a sometimes comic-book style resolution that doesn't quite work in the real world. Still, I can't say enough about a series that can both make an adult think and yet be understandable and even relatable to a younger generation. Ms. Marvel continues to develop a cast of multi-dimensional characters, brilliantly grounding a superhero story with real-world issues, and makes the everyday life of Kamala Khan just as, if not more interesting than her costumed life.

Very good and very bad
Wow. The first story arc is awesome and extremely relevant for today's environment of propaganda and political extremism. Just really good relevant storytelling that kamala khan solves with something besides punching. Though there's a huge flippin plothole where she gets in that first fight, loses, and the bad guy leaves her there, but then immediately after its his job to capture her. Didn't realize joel schumacher guest wrote this. The second story is beyond idiotic. Trains can't overcome a 3 degree incline ._. your entire premise is idiotic. Please do some basic research before you based 4 volumes on trains. Took me 5 minutes of research to find that out.

I love Kamala!
I wish I had a daughter because I would love to introduce her to comics by way of Ms. Marvel. Yeah, I had Kitty Pryde of the X-Man but Kamala is the first female character that I identify with for so many reasons too numerous to list.

Very Good, the best since Last Days
This issue was intense, and was a lot darker than the previous ones. Overall I love the Ms. Marvel comics, so I enjoy anything they put out, but this volume actually made me scared for Kamala and her life. She's dealing with a lot more now than she has in the past. The only criticism I have is that this issue was very action packed, I like seeing a little more of Kamala and her relationships with the people around her. It makes the stakes that much higher when people are in danger.

Enjoyable volume
This was a fun volume. Ms Marvel is a great character with strong writing and consistent character development. I learn more about her every issue. Her first several story arcs have been exciting, interesting and appropriate for a new, young superhero. Looking forward to seeing her journey continue.

Back on top!
The red dagger (remember him from Kamala's vacation in Pakistan?) Is in Jersey city as an exchange student! Josh and Becky (still a pain) and that major nuisance, Chuck worthy is back as well! What is Hydras fascination with jersey city? More fun than you can swing a hulk at!

Very disappointed.
This book is the most abused book I have ever received in the mail. Price and description don't reflect the extreme wear.

Marvellous
Amazing, as always. This one is a bit less hilarious than the previous volumes, but still brilliant. The bad guy henchmen’s dialogue is that of an online troll. Which seems appropriate. At one point I was super upset by all the biryani that dropped to the ground when a certain character was abducted by bad guys.Serious commentary on world politics, with part of the plot mirroring Teresa May’s and Donald Trump’s political tactics of a “hostile environment “ for immigrants.Be prepared for a punch-to-the-gut plot twist. And finally I chuckled heartily at the slow-mo train wreck metaphor.

An Entertaining Volume!!
This graphic novel is well written and composed. There are many good stories. One of the stories is about Amir getting into trouble and another story is about one of Ms. Marvel's aquaintances, Red Dagger. The artwork is of a high quality. The artist, Marco Failla who drew the Red Dagger story is superb. Overall, it is a thrilling volume.

this is my favourite Ms Marvel so far
this is my favourite Ms Marvel so far! I just adored how everything came together and all the focus on family and seeing Kamala slowly return to being herself after everything that's happened lately. I can't wait for the next instalment. These characters are just my favourite of all the Marvel universe. GIVE KAMALA KHAN HER OWN TV SERIES PLS
