I'll be honest, I had some unintentional bias against this suitcase because I'd never heard of Mixi as a company before but I've been pleasantly surprised by this suitcase. It's incredibly light weight, the wheels articulate very smoothly and haven't caused me any issues to date after half a dozen work trips. The telescoping handle is without a doubt my favorite of any suitcase I've ever owned. I really enjoy that it's wide handled spanning the width of the suitcase. I also absolutely love the fact that this doesn't split down the middle and open "book-style" like more common suitcases, that's just a personal preference thing, but I like how I get to my destination and I feel like everything is neatly tucked into my "travel drawer". Beyond that the front panel is really convenient to keep magazines and such in for quick access while in transit. I think this is a well thought design that's well implemented. Your mileage may vary. Time will tell how long the durability holds up, but for now and after a handful of work trips I'm very happy with the quality of it. Note that I'm also not super hard on my luggage, I don't throw it around without regard and I never check it on a flight so it's not an item that takes a ton of abuse but it does still have to hold up to what I consider normal wear and tear.In summary, it's a good suitcase and I do recommend it to others who are looking for this style of front/top opening suitcase!

This is probably the best suitcase I've ever purchased. Not only does it look nice and unique (which is good for when you're trying to figure out which luggage is yours at the baggage claim), but it also has thoughtful functionality. The initial zipper only opens the front pocket for easy access to items like a laptop, tablet, wallet, or phone. The inside is also the most roomy carry on I've ever experienced. I never used to use carry on bags because they barely had any space and most of the inside was taken up by the telescoping handle. This suitcase doesn't have that problem and the small top opening makes it convenient to pack the suitcase as well. I would 10/10 recommend this suitcase to everyone I know. Also, the packaging on this suitcase was super high quality. To me, that is just another reason to trust the quality and workmanship that was put into this design. It also has a 3 year warranty, which is much longer than I would have expected.

We purchased this bag in preparation for an international trip. Lets break it down by categories:Size: The overall size of the bag is closer to the new regulations of carry-on travel. So if you're used to the more traditional sizes of the past before the past decade, this item is smaller than those. Therefore, it fits well in the overhead compartment without much force.Weight- the bag itself is relatively average for the weight of a carry-on. Not too bulky and it allows for ample space. The only issue is that since this design is a clam style carry on you have to be conscientious of weight distribution. I did have some issues with the balance of the weight distribution, as the item would tip when I had the suitcase is improperly balanced and theres a bag resting on top the suitcase will tilt and fall.The handle- We love this new design that allows for a more flush look to the suitcase. However, it comes with a set back... any bag that has been fit with a suitcase pocket for ease of travel with a personal item cannot be used on this bag. The design does not allow for it. So a quick fit-in to invest in some Bungie like suitcase belt that will ensure your bag is safe and properly secured to avoid it from tilting over.Capacity- The bag itself was rather deep and allow for enough clothes for a weekender to be packed in a vacuum-sealed bag. For reference, i'm a full-figured individual so my clothes tend to be a little bulkier and I was able to fit 2-3 days worth of clothes in a vacuum-sealed bag in here without any issue. Be mindful when your packing though as this suitcase does not allow for overpacking. There is NO expander.All and all it was a nice bag with ease of movement and I'm loving the new design. I would recommend it and I love this new design of handles.

I ordered two, so this one had to go back, but by no fault of its own. It’s a super cute color, it packs well, rolls well, and seems quite sturdy. This suitcase is a pretty solid choice overall, price point is a bit up there and I don’t understand it. Other than that, my only gripe is wishing it came in the lilac purple color the one I ultimately kept came in. I preferred most others things about this one in comparison, especially the front opening feature, but the other color won me over. Loved it overall, lack of preferred color and price point are the only reason I’m not keeping this one; might buy it for myself in a larger size in the future though!

This is a very cute piece of luggage. I love the yellow color and orange accents. It’s roomy inside due to the wide set handle. However, the bags I would slide over my luggage handles don’t fit this piece. It rolls smoothly but I really hate that the wheels leave tracks of scuff marks on tile floors. (See photo) It’s like they’re made of a cheap rubber that is breaking down already. I missed the return window to try to exchange it, unfortunately.

Said it was on sale but I was charged more. Not much too it but I you have to go throught the top to get inside only 1 way ONLY. NOT THE BEST DESIGN 😕

I love this suitcase so far! It is very well made and the color is super cute. Very fashionable and practical. I am almost 6ft tall, and I like how the handle comes up to a comfortable height for me. Also, the fact that it doesn’t open in half, but instead has a top portion that zips open, is super helpful for organizing and saves space.

I’ve used this suitcase on two international trips so far and I absolutely love it. The carry on size makes this a very convenient piece of luggage that can be easily stowed in the overhead compartment of the aircraft. The front pocket allows for easy access to important documents and electronics. It’s a sleek, modern and well designed luggage. I plan to purchase the 18 inch for my daughter and the larger check in luggage to complete the set.The protective case it comes with is an added bonus. It helps ensure it is kept clean and free of smudges.

Super disappointed in this luggage because the design of it is so clever, but this just doesn’t work. The biggest issue is that (for Canadian airlines) it’s .75-1 inch too big to fit in the carry-on sizer despite the measurements on the listing saying otherwise. This doesn’t sound like a lot but the suitcase is hard plastic and has no bend and the sizer is metal, so if it doesn’t fit there’s no way to squish it in. I ended up having to gate check my luggage (and of course they lost it in the process) which totally defeats the purpose of carry-on. Because I had to gate check it, when I got it back it was scuffed and scratched like it had been dragged behind the plane (and this was my first time using it so it previously didn’t have any marks on it). The outer plastic is way too malleable, soft and not scuff-resistant enough (presumably because it’s matte) to be able to withstand the conveyor belts/being chucked into the bottom of a plane, and mine came back with a few deep scratches. I had my previous suitcase for at least 10 years and it looks better than this one did after one trip. Such a shame because the design of the front open and the wide handle is exactly what I want, but sadly the size and outer plastic quality ruins it.
