High quality, makes removing oil filter housing easy. Works with 1.4 litre D4d turbo diesel (1ND-TV)
Great quality item, works perfectly. Wasn't sure which to order but went with this Draper. My oil filter housing was stuck on quite tightly. A tap with a mallet and a piece of wood and giving this tool a bit of torque made the housing came loose.I found it difficult to find out whether this tool would work as there seems to be various sizes, 64mm, 64 and a bit mm (usually 64.5mm) and 65mm, along with different notches for the vertical anti-slip parts. I used it on a 2010 Toyota Urban Cruiser with the 1.4 litre 4 cylinder turbo diesel (1.4 D4d, 1ND-TV), which I believe is shared with the Yaris (and possibly other models) . The tool fits very snugly without any slip and the notches in the tool fit exactly with the notches on the oil filter housing. After struggling with various other methods of removing the housing, this was definitely worth the investment.

Lazy amazon delivery driver once again!
Amazon is the "Seller" as it was dispatched by them so this is my review....this was left in open view outside my porch on a v.busy road for all to see. Luck i was in. Not happy at all, my parcels are constantly the same with their amazon drivers, sort it out amazon! Product seems ok & fits fine.

After a slight modification.....
My car is a Toyota Avensis T27 1.6 petrol estate 2009 model. To find the oil filter and sump drain plug look under the front of the car just in front of where the pedals are and you find a flap in the undertray. After popping a few clips it swings down. The sump plug on mine takes a 14mm spanner and has a sort of composite seal which I cheered up with a very thin film of red gasket paste and refitted to about 25 ft. lb. on the torque wrench. The oil filter is an element that lives in a housing behind the engine sump a few inches from the drain plug. Note on earlier models of car the housing is vertical and in relatively free space. On my car the housing is horizontal and the bit you need to unscrew is black plastic with 14 flats about 64mm across these flats. Due to lack of access and also extra tabs on the outer edge of this plastic housing I had to cut off about a third of the way round of the outer flange on the tool. I used a junior hacksaw the tool is basically die cast metal i.e. quite soft. What to do is offer the tool up and see what tab(s) will engage with the outer flange of the tool and what won't also what part of the outer flange fouls the sump. then remove metal to the edge of the 64mm 14 flats socket bit of the tool, in my case this ended up being about 1/3 of the circumference. Once I was happy the tool was sitting down over the plastic oil casing part a 3/8" ratchet had it off in a few minutes. Note at a certain point when it is loose enough to unscrew the rest of the way by hand take the tool off else it gets trapped by the sump, and vice versa on refitting. Another tip: I spent ages agonising over the small O-ring and the plastic tube fitting that came with the new oil filter element. I think these are for other casing caps (maybe metal not black plastic) that have an extra central cap you can unscrew and push the oil drain pipe into this to drain the canister before removal. The small O-ring is to refit this cap after draining. Mine didn't have this feature so the plastic elbow pipe and small O-ring went in the bin. Forgot to mention: before unscrewing the filter housing and indeed before trying to fit the tool you need to chap out the spring clip thing with a small hammer. Refit it at the end, before you do gently bend it to just touch the filter canister I think it is to stop any chance of it unscrewing. I think I torqued the canister cap to 18 ft. lb. be sure to lube the big O-ring and mating face in the housing with new oil before refitting. Hope these tips help but obviously do your own research and I cannot be responsible for any loss or damage if you botch it up these words are for guidance only and may not be best practice use your own judgement if in doubt consult an expert please.

Modify to fit Avensis
Had to grind off the bottom lip to fit the Avensis 2L petrol 2009 oil filter. Was to fat to fit against the sump. See pics.. but still worked with half the tool missing.

Service with a smile
I bought the Draper Expert 2240 Toyota Oil Filter removal tool to remove the oil filter on my Toyota Auris 1.4 Diesel 2009. It fitted perfectly over the filter housing and made the job very straight forward. I bought the Draper unit as I have used their tools in the past and found them to be well made and reliable. The Draper unit can be turned using the precast 27mm nut but due to the tight space under the car this cannot be done with a traditional socket. There is a choice. You can use a ring spanner or you can use a small socket bar directly into the square hole in the middle of the precast nut. I used the small socket bar and muscle power and the filter gradually moved.I paid for standard postage from Amazon, ordering the item on Monday morning and receiving it on Tuesday afternoon.Great product and great service.
