Excellent iron
Bought as a replacement for an iron I thought was good. This is better! No dial to decide on temperature as it does it itself. What could be easier. Nicely weighted so very easy to use. It is also easy to fill as well as the flip open cover moves out of the way to the side. The cable is nice and long so reaches sockets with ease. So far I am delighted and the blue/black finish is very stylish.

Best value Philips auto temperature iron
I've settled on Philips as my favourite brand of iron. They iron easily and smoothly with decent amount of steam. This auto-temperature one copes with dried out creased cotton shirts as well as my old manual dial Philips Azur. I laughed when I read thd review about the light but....on a dim dark morning got completely dazzled. Stuck a piece of black electrical tape over half the bright blue bulb and all is now fine.

Plug n play of the iron world
Firstly, I am the sort of guy who gives guys a bad name in the housework department. I have never owned an iron before and have always left the ironing for someone else - mother, partner and even my brother. Having said that, my review is mostly to clear up some things said in other reviews, especially as Amazon has the awful habit of lumping reviews for different items together. I nearly didn't buy this after reading some of the following in reviews:You can't see how much water is in it - yes you can. Easily. It doesn't give out much steam - it gives plenty and I'm betting it's about the amount stated in the details (45g etc)There are no instructions which make it confusing to use - fill water tank with water, plug in, wait a minute, use. It has no settings. Without being self aware and doing the ironing for you, it couldn't be any easier.Auto settings, auto temp is a gimmick and doesn't work - I tried it on various items that had been living in heaps under beds and in bottom of wardrobes (So very, very creased) and it worked just fine.It leaves puddles - I tried everything short of opening the fill valve and upturning the iron and I couldn't get it to drip water anywhere. It doesn't have a warning light when on - TBH I didn't even notice this as when an iron is plugged into the socket and the socket is on, the iron is on. If the iron is on, I suggest not touching the bottom part, light or no light. If you leave an iron unattended around kids, I doubt any light will save you.All the good points have been covered in other reviews, but simply put it's the irons answer to plug n play and does what it says on the tin.So, now that all that is clear, hopefully you can make an informed choice about whether or not the iron is for you. As usual, I will update the review if any problems come to light but as it stands I'm happy to recommend

Good Iron - loads of steam!
Great iron. Have used the Phillips brand for a few years now and this is the best version yet. Not too expensive, but does the job well enough to warrant a positive review. I was a little unsure about the one heat setting, but have not damaged any items through excessive heat. The iron produces loads of steam which is good, a little too effective as I now have to re-fill the water tank just to iron my work shirts. Good iron, highly recommended.

It's a steam machine, it will use water.
The iron arrived in a damaged box as stated but it was in new condition. I used the iron, it's really a hand held steam machine, on a mixed batch of laundry and it was fantastic. A lot of reviews seem confused about what this machine is. Well it's a fairly low temperature, high pressure and volume steam machine and that is how it gets the ceases out without burning anything. It's great and I won't have to scrape the crud of the soleolate following her in doors doing a mixed batch next time. Would have paid double but didn't have to. To avoid any doubt I love her in doors unconditionally.

Great iron that works well
I was a bit sceptical about the lack of temperature control but it hasn't damaged any clothing do far including my wife's silk tops. It takes a while to warm up and it does use a fair amount of steam on medium setting, but it does the job!

Stopped working in less than 4 months.
It suddenly stopped working in less than 4 months. It even created an electrical issue in the house and I had call an electrician to help me.It has auto temperature setting as per fabric type so it seemed very convenient but I guess it wasn’t good quality to begin with.

Great Model
I bought the same mode last August 18, 2022, for a very good price, and still working great. you do not have to worry that it might burn your clothes, but no it doesn't it works perfectly fine. Amazing product.
