Ruthless (A Lawless Novel Book 1)

Excellent twisty and convoluted plot
No plot spoilersNo potential triggersThere is some swearing and some sex scenes. The characterisation is flawless, with individual personalities and motivators that allows the reader to form a connection. The plotline is so twisty it's ingenious. Literally, you think you have it figured out and the next paragraph makes you start again.I purchased the series years ago and I have no idea why I have not left feedback before now, consider that remedied. If you are a fan of romantic thrillers I have no problem recommending the series.Different from the Masters and Mercenaries series, but excellent reading am no less than you would expect from the pen of Lexi Blake.

Another Great Story from Lexi Blake
I am a fan of Lexi Blake's books having read all her previous works and really enjoyed them. I have been looking forward to this new spin off series from Masters and Mercenaries and was keen for it to be released. It did not disappoint. Her style of writing captivates the reader from the start and the twists and turns ensure it keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. Ellie is the CEO of a tech company and Riley is from a family who own another tech company. Their fathers had at one time been in business together but that had resulted in the Lawless parents being murdered and Ellie's father being a suspect. The book follows the developing relationship between Riley and Ellie and the plot to dismiss her from her post of CEO. I enjoyed the appearance of characters from Masters and Mercenaries. I would recommend this book to any reader who enjoys a romance/suspense novel. It can be read as a stand alone but is an introduction to a series about the Lawless family - Drew, Bran and Riley along with their sister Mia who is married to Case Taggart, one of Ian Taggart's brothers.

Good story. Average length. Not sure why publisher thinks it rates £8 cover price?
Good story. Average length. Not sure why publisher thinks it rates £8 cover price? After all their production costs are low! The next one in series is about £6 not sure it's justified? After all I'm buying a one person license to read not a book I can place in a book shelf!
