Great budget bluetooth!!
This device is simple to use, lasts for a long time. This is my second one, I owned my first one for 4 years with no issues. The only reason why I ordered this replacement is because I lost the first unit on the Verrazano bridge. Never had any interference or connection issues. Built in FM Bluetooth great for listening to music or GPS on a trip. I ride my Harley fast and can still hear everything in my full face helmet. Very east to operate with gloves on. I recommend this unit to all motorcyclists I encounter. I do not connect rider to rider so I cannot comment on that experience. I have enough voices in my head and I don't want another =)

Motorcycle trip enhancement
I did a 1600 mile cycle trip to see the Fall colors in upper Michigan this year. I bought this to be able to listen to map directions and music while driving. Overall I was really happy with the headset. Installation in to my helmet went okay. There are two ways to mount the Bluetooth controller, screw/pressure fit and adhesive Velcro. The screw fit did not work on my helmet as my base was too thick. I was a little worried about using the stick on Velcro, but it worked out great. I cleaned my helmet with rubbing alcohol before applying the Velcro pad and found that it stuck really well and I found that I could remove it for charging when needed. The controls were intuitive and easy to use. The volume was plenty loud and sound quality was decent for the ride. These are not like having a Bose headphones on, but I was very happy with the sound quality for cycle riding. I did not really try to use it for phone calls while driving so I can't speak to the microphone quality. The Bluetooth paring was easy and worked well. One of the others we were driving with had a much more expensive headset and he could not get google maps through his headset. I am sure it could have been a simple issue on his side, but I did not have any of that with this headset.

Pretty good for the price, loud
To preface, I ordered this just to listen to music from my phone while riding. I have not tested the calling, intercom, or FM radio features. It's always easier to start listing what I don't like:- Audio quality is not very good for music, but by the time you factor in wind & engine noise, I don't think any helmet speakers are going to sound all that good. But don't expect audiophile quality. At loud volumes which is often needed when riding at speed, audio is very distorted, clipping, etc. Better than nothing though!-I wish the mic was removable, or they made a different model without the mic. I did not want it and ended cutting it off, effectively ruining the comms part of the unit. Can't really just bend it out of the way or tuck it somewhere without it being annoying. It was glued in tightly thus I snipped it off-The worst is the proprietary audio and charging connector. It's 1 connector that looks like micro USB but isn't. The speakers/mic plug into it. To charge you unplug the speakers and plug in a proprietary charging cable (the other end goes into any standard USB charger). I would have MUCH rather seen a standard micro USB charging connector, and a separate 3.5mm audio jack for the speakers and mic. I'd personally pay more for a device with these features-I don't like the control behavior of the control knob. To skip forward/back tracks you quickly flick the wheel one way or another (it always returns to a center position, it's not like a volume knob you'd find in a car). To change the volume you push and hold in a particular direction. This push and hold process takes way too long, and makes it hard to finely control, like it's hard to turn it down just 1 or 2 notches. Often you end up going too loud, then too soft, then if you're lucky you'll get it just right. I would rather the volume control be the quick flicks, and track skips which are less common to do the push and hold. Sometimes you go to change volume and you don't hold the wheel long enough, so you end up skipping tracks. There's no beeps or feedback when changing volume like other bluetooth audio devices I've used. What I do like:-The big control knob and buttons are very easy to use, even with bulky gloves-It definitely gets loud, painfully so. You should have no problem with hearing it-The mounting mechanism is sturdy but easy to remove for charging-Cable lengths were just perfect, was able to route cables under helmet lining easily-The looks are good, pretty neutral and should look fine on any helmet-Came with plenty of velcro for mounting the speakers and receiver unit-The receiver unit feels solid and well made. Speaker build quality is meh

Almost perfect.
This is the best low cost helmet Bluetooth device on the market. I tried 5 others and this by far, is the best. It's easy to set up and install. It's very easy to use. I ride a Harley and the engine noise is not a factor. Riding at 70 MPH on I-95 you can hear your music and talk radio. Phone calls are crystal clear, most people are amazed when I tell them I'm on a bike. Battery life is amazing. I haven't paired it with another for intercom purposes but will be doing is soon and will update. The only negative I can think of is the proprietary USN connector.

The mounting hardware is garbage, the unit is not.
Not hard to install, but I did need to cut my helmet to make room for the mounting clip. I just don't trust the adhesive-tape-backed mounting plates. Seems I judged that too quickly though. After 6 months of riding, the thin plastic of the mounting bracket dried out from sun exposure (it only saw daylight while I rode wearing it), became brittle, and crumbled at the stress point. It's a vice-mount. Thats an unavoidable element. All that says that they needed to make the mounting plate out of a better material.I'm literally just expoxying the FreedConn unit directly to my helmet at this point. While the controls arent great, it feels like a reliable piece that was affordable and does its job.

Works amazing!!
I was looking for a set of speakers to plug into my phone and listen to music while on my motorcycle. This product works amazing, I love it! It fits very well in my helmet, is super easy to install, and the sound quality is great, you definitely cannot have it at full volume, or you’ll blow your eardrums. And I have a loud bike. It pairs perfect with my iPhone via Bluetooth, the only downside is Siri does not work well with it. You might be wary of the attachment not sticking to the outside of your helmet, but it is very secure, not a worry at all. Great purchase!
