Versatile, Lightweight but Small Battery, Moderate Use Recommended
A multi-tool, or "oscillating saw" as they're commonly referred to is just about a 'must have' tool for every homeowner because of its outstanding versatility. There are a 101 uses around the house for a tool like this and a whole bunch of those uses will involve a tight space somehow, trust me. I wanted a multi tool that was lighter than my beef-eating workhorse version (with a price tag to match!) so my wife is able to use it without needed physical therapy for her arm and fingers at the end of the day.The Herzo here fills that bill; it's surprising lightweight but well constructed and fits comfortably in smaller hands. The quick change feature is great, especially for those folks who just need a simple thing done, like cutting a nail or screw off, then cutting a small but clean hole in drywall. Controls are conveniently placed and easy to manipulate. The tool is surprisingly easy to control and use and comes wityh a small assortment of the most likely attachments a typical DIY homeowner might need to get a feel for the tool in multiple ways. Two quibbles with this unit and why I rated it a 4 rather than 5:1. Speed selection is set to five choices. While this isn't a terrible thing, I prefer a variable speed I can control at my fingertips rather than set speeds - and changing those speeds mid-use is a hassle.2. The 2-amp battery is okay, and I suspect they providing this size to keep the weight down and help w balance, but it doesn't bring a lot to the table in terms of longevity of use. That said, it's unlikely that the typical homeowner using the tool on smaller jobs or "honey-dos" around the house will likely find the battery life more than adequate.Overall, the tool is powerful enough to get most of your jobs done quickly, and remember that Amps give us battery life whereas volts bring the power. It's a great gift idea for those folks in your life that tend to try and do "more" to fix a problem or issue around the house, and it's very unlikely it will be regifted in the future.

Broke
It broke right away. The mechanism that holds the attachment came apart right when I started using it.

Nice solid variable speed
Nice solid variable speed oscillating tool. It is a good medium to heavy duty tool. The only thing that kept it from being 5 star is the charging system is different from standard battery stand chargers. That may be exactly what you want however. For those unfamiliar with these tools the lever flips all the way till parallel with tool to load it.

If you’re a handyman, you need this tool!
This is the kind of tool that you never knew you needed until you had it, and then your can’t live without it. As for me, I’ve always wanted one and this is a great tool to have. Included in the box is a 20V battery, charger, the tool itself, along with some accessories, such as a sanding attachment with 80 and 120 grit sanding pads, along with various cutting and scraping attachments. One thing I noticed right away when I took this out of the box was that this was a quality tool and definitely had some heft to it. It’s not a lightweight, flimsy tool. No, this is a heavy duty tool designed for real-world work that handymen like us find ourselves doing around every corner. The tool has various levels of oscillating speed, so you can use whatever strength/speed that you need to get the job done. I used to think that my Dremel tool would be a good substitute for this kind of oscillating tool, but I learned a long time ago that was not the case. A Dremel has it uses, but it is not designed for the kind of heavy-duty work this tool can do.So, if you are wondering what you can do with this tool, I’ll name just a few things. For cutting, there’s nothing better. It slices through wood or metal like it’s a hot knife cutting through butter. It eats nailheads and protruding screws heads for breakfast. You can use the scraper tool to remove tile, or anything that’s glued down. You can cut masonry and even remove grout with the right kind of attachment. We even used a tool like this to undercut a fireplace when we were laying wood flooring down in our living room. Another example was when I was replacing a faucet in the kitchen sink. I discovered that the previous owner had used construction adhesive to “glue” the faucet to the sink (what???). I thought I was going to have to buy a new sink. But, the oscillating tool was able to completely remove all of the construction adhesive and the faucet was easily removed after that.Another great advantage of this tool is that it is cordless. So you can take it anywhere, even places where you couldn’t necessarily take a cord with you.I can’t speak to the longevity of the included battery pack, but so far, it seems like it lasts long enough to do whatever I need it to do.I also like the quick connect/disconnect lever and the included light in use for places where you might not be able to see clearly.I really like this tool and I highly recommend it.

Solid tool without the cord!
This seems to work as well as my older corded oscillating tool, with the added advantage that I don't have to be tied to the wall. The kit came with everything needed to get started (tool, battery, charger, manual, some attachments, and a carrying bag) and it should take standard replacement attachments as well. There are five speed levels, with an increasingly loud buzz (think "honey bee out for a stroll" at the lowest level to "swarm of angry wasps" at level 5). The 2.0 Amp hour battery is not huge, but should be adequate for many tasks; if I thought I'd need power for longer than the battery could run for I'd probably be running an extension cord and using heavier tools anyways. This is a solid addition to my kit!
