Blackest Night: Green Lantern

Outstanding tale and artwork. Love the green lantern universe it's all pure scifi, and this tale is of the highest order. Is part of a much larger series and I would recommend that you read the whole series to get the most out of it. It's not really a good starting point for someone new to the characters, you wouldn't be able to pick up the relationships they have with each other nor their history.The artwork is outstanding and deserves the highest praise possible.

Great tie-ins to the core story. A must have for fans of Hal Jordan’s story. Features the return of Parallax and his show down with The Spectre during the Blackest Night.

The entire Geoff Johns Green Lantern run has been building up to the Blackest Night since Rebirth and GL fans will not be disappointed. Hal Jordan is forced to work with his former friend and current nemesis Sinestro, ex-girlfriend Carol Ferris aka Star Sapphire, Indigo-1 of the Indigo Tribe, Saint Walker of the Blue Lantern Corps, Atrocitus leader of the Red Lanterns and the greedy Orange Lantern Larfleeze to stop the black lanterns before they consume the entire universe. The artwork is brilliant and the story is enjoyable. You will only understand it if you read it alongside the actual Blackest Night graphic novel though. Geoff Johns Green Lantern run is one of the best comic book runs ever and Blackest Night Green Lantern is an excellent tie-in novel to the Blackest Night.

This book is definetly worth a try, the storyline is great, very enjoyable, the characters are likable and funny when needed, the art is fantastic, it’s good to look at. I recommend this book to anyone who loves comics or just interested in getting to know the genre.
