yes it would be great for it due to having a digital interface and a built in flash recorder. Good sound too on the inputs and outputs and a friendly eq.

In live use would this work? phone bluetooth to mackie onyx 8, mackie onyx 8 usb to macbook air, macbook air wireless audio out to bluetooth speakers.

Sorry I don't know. I only use for studio recording and I ve never tried Bluetooth

We have done testing up to 256GB but don’t see any reason to think there will be an issue with larger cards. Let me know what your experience is like if you try a larger (>256GB) card.

For Multi-Track recording? You could use any Onyx mixer as an interface with an iPad. The recording program you use will determine the amount of tracks you can record simultaneously.

Mackie onyx 16

It’s a great mixer , excellent pre amps , very compact I have a Allen & Heath zed 14fx which is the same size with lesser channels and features . The Mackie onyx 16 has Bluetooth , stereo recording to an SD card , multitrack recording through USB . Highly recommend this mixer
