If you are cutting pipe, yes, it will work just fine. If you are cutting "bar" it will work if you know what you are doing.

Do you need an adaptor for the acetylene bottle because my friend bought one and the tank and regulator both have male ends?

Correction...The Industrial size Acetylene bottles I use do indeed come with a male end, so your's could very easily also. Any serious welding supply store will have the adapters.

Where can I buy other cutting nozzles for it?

Home Depot, lowes should sell them.
