Can you list all the items you get in this product?

It comes with a green felt like piece to look like the ground. Branches and the green clumps to create trees. There are green and yellow powders to put in little sifters to accent different areas. I paired this with another kit to get a base as well as more trees and grasses. I felt it necessary to have both to make the forest area look full. I created a fox habitat diorama and it turned out great but was very messy and tedious work

What size base does this need and will a cardboard box do or does it have to be plastic or another waterproof type strong box?

if you’re only using what’s in the box and not adding anything additional, you’ll need a base of approx one foot square. Thick cardboard or a piece of balsa wood will work.

Does this kit come with a base or do you have to purchase a base separately? If you have to purchase a base what size?

Yes you have to buy base separate. The size depends on which diorama you picked. From the picture it looks like this is the small one.

could it be used with 1/35 military scale military models and figures?

1/72 would be more to scale. You could get away with parking 1 tank or 2 heels with some infantry.

Nice value starter kit

Nice simple kit no base included but a scrap of plywood worked a treat. The instructions are clear with sufficient pictures to give you an idea what can be achieved. The picture shows a matchbox commer campervan to give you an idea of scale.

No base provided.

It's ok, but how much bother would it have been to provide a plastic base to build the diarama on, pennies. They are shown on the cover image, but you dont get one. It would have been cheap to provide one.

Easy to make.

Comes supplied with all you need to make a great scenic backdrop. I had plenty of left over material. The trees were a little tricky to make but were worth the extra effort as they looked great when finished. The trick was to apply the glue to the branches, allow the glue to dry slightly so the glue becomes tacky, then use a pair of tweers to position the foilage on the branches. The trees come supplied flat packed so you have a bend the bracnhes by hand to 'create' your tree. There is actually a very goood video on youtube of a guy making his own, using this kit. The only thing he used that wasn't supplied is some paint for the path that runs through the middle of the scene, but I never used this and I thought mine loooked fine without it. I hope the picture provided helps. I added a 1/72 scale model tank and some 1/72 scale army figures. It was for a model competition at work. I was given the tank to make but I though the tank on its own was quite insignificant, so i added the diorama to spice it up a little.

Worth the money. This kit was a life saver. Its not finished but was so easy to put together. Really happy with it. Bought elephant and water separately. Also used dirt from planter. Love how the trees look.
