Locking rods make non locking rods a waste of money
Locking rods are the only way to stop arid or head coming loose if you are pulling and turning the rods if they are getting stuck which is very common especially if using the plunger head which is only 10mm thinner than the average 100mm domestic sewer or soakaway pipe! They are fiddly to screw and unscrew though!

Excellent tool, even a girl can use it!
Excellent tool The interlocking joints are brilliant. Tighten with spanner and you won’t have to worry about losing the pole down the drain. Unclogged the drains very well and Carey bag will be good for storage. Well worth the money and highly recommend it.

Sturdy product
These drain rods were delivered very quickly. They are very sturdy and my husband says that using a spanner to connect them means that they aren’t going to come apart when using them.

Ease of use
My soil pipe blocks quite frequently and ordinary screw rods were always worring to use should they become loose in the pipe. These locking rods are excellent and take the worry away completely .I would highly recommend

Two connectors on rods snapped in operation
Initially i bought these as i was sold on the locking system and not having to worry about twisting a rod loose in operation . However after light use once every 4/6 weeks I have now lost all confidence in using this product to rod drains now.On two occasions the gripper on the rods has snapped whilst retrieving the rods from the drain luckily on both occasions it was easily retrieved and I wasnt left with a rod stuck in my drains. I should of contacted the company when it first happened but shrugged it off as we tend to do thinking it was a once off but then it occured again . Have purchased their non lockfast version just before xmas havent had to use them yet but hopefully they will problem free
