Works great when it works
*Edit_2 06/29/2023*Edit this review to change the order of the edits and to re-review this product. Original review at the end. Hikity sent me a replacement which arrived in 2 days, very quick response. The new device does just what it is supposed to do. I have used it for a few days and have had no disconnects using Android Auto. The screen is nice and responsive and the voice control works as intended. I have been using Waze for navigation and Pandora for music. As for the sound quality, I found the Aux cord worked best. I tried the FM but was not happy with that sound. It might not be the device since I live in an area where the FM band is quite crowded so finding a quiet frequency was difficult. All in all I would say this device is reasonably price and does the job just fine.*Edit_1 6/16/2023*I upped my review from 2 stars to 4 stars because of Hikity's Customer Service. Shortly after I made this review Customer Service from Hikity contacted me to try and resolve my issues with this product. They are replacing my current device with a new device. Once I receive the new device and try it out I will edit this review again. As for now I am very impressed by Hikity's Customer Service and responsiveness to resolve my issues with this product. This unit works great when it works. The screen is nice and responsive. The Bugatti on the start up screen is a nice touch. I experienced 2 issues with this device. First the sound is terrible. I tried using all the methods of connecting to the radio head in my RV, bluetooth, FM radio, and wired through the AUX port and all sounded like listening to a AM radio in a can. Since all the methods were horrible I went with the AUX method. The second and most frustrating issue is the disconnects. I am using Waze with the Android Auto connection for Navigation. It would work great for maybe an hour or so and then either disconnect completely or the screen would just go blank and still be connected. This usually happened at very inconvenient times, right before I needed to make a turn. It took multiple re-starts to get it to connect properly again. Great idea but poor execution.

Cheap and amazing Carplay for older cars
So this is not exactly a factory equivalent Carplay replacement for you car but what it offers you is amazing functionality at a low cost. My iPhone being very old get overheated if I am connected to this wireless Carplay and wireless charging at the same time. That causes the map navigation and music streaming to slow down.and glitch. But when it is not overheated, it works perfectly fine. There is a slight 0.5 secs delay on the maps navigation as to your actual position on the road versus the position shown on the map. I have to use aux cable to stream music through my car's speakers which is not the greatest experience but I can always select the airplay on my iPhone to play directly through car's bluetooth which will cause me to lose voice instructions for navigation which is completely fine with me since I can always see them directly on the screen. Overall, a great product and a great addition to upgrade my old car.

Easy set up and great alternative.
I really couldn't afford to spend hundreds of dollars on radio upgrades in a vehicle nearly 20 years old so I decided to get something externally that was easy to use and set up. This device works amazingly. You can use it hands free or via a touch screen with such ease. The only complaint that I have is I wish I would of ordered the one that allows me to view the rear of my vehicle. The camera on this item is way above average and has an a large range a of view and capacity.

iOS 18
This was pretty cool and worked well but once I updated to iOS 18 it stopped working and would not connect. If there’s something I can do or find out to get it to work again than I will update the⭐️ to 5**update 2 months later and making it a 1 ⭐️ still does not want to connect to my phone making it now useless which sucks cause I liked it , I only had it for almost a year maybe

GREAT, WHEN IT WORKS...
THE GOODI purchased two of these for my older generation cars to upgrade them to Android Auto. I connect them both using the auxiliary cord and the sound quality is great. I LOVE the wide screen display, large enough to show Waze, Spotify, and any phone notifications.THE BADUnfortunately both units have similar Bluetooth connectivity issues. Like another review mention, one will disconnect from my phone after about an hour of use and usually when I have turns coming up. This sucks when your in a new area and all of the sudden your screen goes back to menu and no voice connection. I need to unplug it a few times to get it to connect again which I hate fiddling with while I'm driving (that's the whole point of buying this, to remain hands free). The other unit stays visually connected via bluetooth but the audio will randomly disconnect for a minute then reconnect to my phone when I'm on a phone call. I think I lost service then I hear a tiny voice coming from my phone. Then I need to pickup my phone and put it on speaker. Even though the Bluetooth says it's still connected it doesn't show up as an audio option.I know these issues aren't caused by my phone because it does the same with other tablets/phones AND the issues are distinct to each head unit. I do not experience the issues in both. One disconnects audio during calls and the other disconnects completely when navigating.I wish there was a way to update firmware or something to resolve this issue. They're still usable and I do enjoy them for the price, but issues that require me to fiddle with something while driving (or pull over) defeat the purpose. I wish the developers had a software fix!
