Great game, can be played with younger children, great for maths skills.
This is a brilliant game, nice and quick (perhaps 15 mins?) and lots of fun. My 4 year old and I play it all the time. I would say it's his favourite at the moment. I offer occasional suggestions about domino placement, but he is mostly fine on his own. I don't intentionally make daft moves (but neither do I seriously strategise), and I usually win but not by much. A couple of comments for those playing with small children:1. This is BRILLIANT for surreptitious maths skills. Each round you have to place four randomised dominos (nos 1-48) in size order, teaching place value. Your score is calculated as number of crowns x number of tiles, teaching simple multiplication. And then you have to add up those scores at the end. I write the sums on a piece of paper for him to cement it, and scribe the answers he tells me.2. The game tiles need to be in a 5 x 5 grid ( or 7 x 7 for a longer 2 player game). This is a little abstract for my son. and he occasionally needs reminders to make sure it isn't more than 5 up or across, and also to help him not end up with single 'holes' in his grid.Overall, super game.

Love this Kingdomino Prequel 🦣
We love Kingdomino the original game. Then I saw this for a bargain price (under a tenner) and those cute Mammoth tokens, and bought it. And we love it. Not regretted the purchase for a second. It adds some fun variants to the base game, updates or should that be, backdates the art to Palaeolithic. Adds Volcanoes + fish, mammoth, mushroom and flint tokens, so more variable a scoring options. More to think about. It was real fun. Made us smile. Not tried the other variant, Tribes yet. But it's still everything about KD that we love. Recommend if you like KD

Great game for parents and children to play and enjoy together!
When giving out stars for a boardgame one should consider a couple of factors. Is this game equal to Twiligth Struggle? Of course not. It is not the same, but is a Smart equal to a Lamborghini? I hope you see the point, these are different cathegories.Bearing this in mind I am happy to give five stars to this tiny little game. It is of great quality in both material and play. The game is quick, easy to understand and learn, and it is also a real eyecandy. It is also fun to discover miniscule funny things and moments on each piece of the dominos. The contents are economically packed in the box, which is surprisingly small.I think this game can be highly recommended to any families with primary school children.

So much fun
This is a great game, if you want quick games that last 15 mins or so and is easy to play get this. Young kids around 5 and 6 can also play they just need a little help. We play this every few days and is loved by adults and kids. The art work is decent and the quality of some of the blocks could be better. The size of the box is decent so it’s not too big. Age rating says 8 plus but as mentioned young kids can play it.

Simple, cool, addictive game!
What a simple, cool, addictive game! Very easy to teach, even to youngsters. And the adults seem to like its simplicity too. The right level of challenge to keep things interesting, and it plays quick - under 20 minutes. Some good decision-making involved, fun tile-laying puzzle element. Interesting scoring, which allows for an element of strategy. Good turn order mechanism.Deserved winner of the Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) 2017 award.
