Habitrail OVO Dwarf Hamster/ Mouse Habitat Cage

Habitrail is the best and safest cage for any dwarf hamsters, ideal for Russian and robo’s I have changed the setup from 2 types of habitrails but I like to change it up every now and then do the hamsters don’t get board 😂 so easy to clean can put on a quick cycle in a dishwasher on a low heat while they are in the balls to run around or you can wash by hands. It’s a shame that these are no longer in pet stores and can only get online and no longer have a wide range. They also do ones for the larger hamster don’t know how well they are as I’ve only had dwarfs. Just a brilliant design all round and would recommend habitrail to anyone.Also cat safe as you can see from one photo ☺️

The media could not be loaded. I bought 2 of these for 2 dwarf Russian hamsters after reading they do not like living together. In the pet shop, the man told me they were sisters and very young so they should be ok. I therefore linked the cages as one big run when we got home. Their habitat is now huge and such fun. We have put chinchilla sand in one of the top domes for them to play in. One hamster gets up the vertical tubes with ease and the other finds it hard and it takes a good few tries for her. This is good though I’m sure. They can’t access the steps for the food bowl as they are a weird, slippy steep angle. We put the food In the den ball at the end instead and they take it to their undercover den behind the wheel. So hard to set up. You need to get used to the way the connectors tighten. Water bottle hard to fill as the metal is too tight on the plastic. Will be an absolute pain to clean - a proper clean will basically be taking it apart and putting it back together when dry so a good half hour or more. Hamsters love it. One would be too small for 2 dwarf hamsters though IMO.

Amazing literally amazing. But I only realised this once it was set-up and the mice inside. Every part that annoys you in the set-up (first time) will become clear later when the mice are in. I hated putting it together. But then it made sense for cleaning. I hated the dips in the food bowl but the ledges collects poop and the dip wee, it all makes sense eventually. I love the easy of cleaning the food bowl and the water area. It is the best cage we have. But when I was putting it together (the first time) I was in tears. It looks like mission impossible and a tiny bit of plastic broke. I was livid. But I stuck with it AND do not regret!!!!!!! Love love love this cage. It comes to bits for emptying all the mice stuff out and goes in the bath to be deep cleaned, dried and placed back together.

this cage is very suitable for dwarf hamsters and provides all the essential needs of a hamster. its futuristic and unique layout gives the hamsters an over-rated opportunity to explore pipes and hideouts. I think it is one of the best designs habitrail have come up with yet. It is escape proof, easy to clean, easy pet access and has a silent wheels. All of these features are on the the box and live up to the standards they set. I hope that other people share the same view as i do.

I have given this an average rating as there are some things that are fantastic about it but some BIG warnings. First the warnings. I am a very long term responsible hamster owner and I bought this for my two robrowskis along with two lofts, a home edition and some extra dens. This is the minimum I would say you need for a pair of dwarves or even one to be honest. Although mine are given at least two hours free range playtime every evening they are still awake when you are asleep and the fact that this is sold as a complete dwarf hamster home, or worse still a Syrian as the Syrian equivalent is no bigger it just has larger tubes is cruel and should be illegal.Well in fact it is as this cage does not meet the uk minimum space requirements for a dwarf. However, if you thouroughly research it and go into it with your eyes open like I did, then combined with two lofts and a few add ons it makes a great, but expensive, cage for dwarves that you can add on to. My dwarves love it as they love running through tubes going mental. I would not recommend the Syrian version as they are not as quick, don't use the tubes as much and need more floor space so you are better off investing your money in a nice big cage with loads of floor space. I am good at putting things together but honestly the instructions were so hard to follow. Just useless diagrams. I worked it out from the picture in the end. Good points, it is safe for dwarves, well ventilated, easy to clean, you can keep changing the setup to maintain your hamsters interest, it is very hard for them to chew as it is all curved, nice deep bases for dwarves for burrowing, the water bottle does not leak unlike a lot of people have said providing you follow the instructions properly and refill it daily completely to the top then turn it over three times to cr rate a vacuum, see u tube videos. Overall a great cage, just far too small on its own. Do not be fooled by the pictures!

This cadge is really well made and the concept is brilliant. The main area isn't as small as i anticipated and even the top compartment is of a reasonable size, I found it easy to put together including the tube clips. However the tubes are unbelievably small! and no way big enough for a fully grown dwarf hamster. As soon as i opened it i knew mine would just get stuck in the tubes it's not even large enough for his head and cheeks to fit in. The tubes are only about 3 cm wide! I'm not even sure a mouse would be able to fit inside them - even if a young dwarf could use the tubes initially i imagine it would soon grow out of it and get stuck meaning you would have to purchase a new cadge after just a few months. the wheel is also quite squeaky and disproportionate to the lay out with a gap going through the centre which your hamster could possibly get its leg caught in resulting in injury. I think anyone considering this cadge would be better of purchasing the normal ovo hamster cadge with regular tubes - this cadge is a huge hazard, a waste of money and dangerous!

Es muy linda, práctica pero no es tan fácil de lavar porque hay que desarmarla toda y son muchas piezas. Muy buena calidad y buen espacio para roedores enanos.

Great looking cage however they are no go for hamsters, please do your research on hamsters before buying this. Its way too small for them. Mine kept sleeping in the loop tube and was not happy in there. Not enough floor space.Its very easy to clean, tubes are very small, it would not fit à full grow hamster but à dwarf yes.

Hey!Ich habe einen Dsungarischen Hamster(MONTY) und brauchte eine Erweiterung seines Nagariums!Da dieses um die Ecke zu einem Schrank gehen sollte habe ich was mit Tunnelsystem gesucht und in Habitrail die Perfekte Lösung gefunden...es ist so dermaßen flexibel u Erweiterbar ...WAHNSINN!!!!Es ist schnell aufgebaut und hat tolles Zubehör ..Dazu gehört zB :-das Hamsterrad was keinerlei Geräuche macht (...Gott sei Dank!)-die Trinkflasche die nicht Tropft !!..(er hat das auch instinktiv Verstanden wie sie funkzioniert!)-das Haus wo das Rad dran hängt !!(was wiederum an der Innenwand eingeklemmt ist so das es nicht umkippen kann!!)Das es dem natürlichen Bau (Höhlen u Tunnelsystem) des Hamsters entspricht merkt man an dem Verhalten!Im übrigen sind auch das Tunnelsystem Kaytee CritterTrail Fun-nel anschließbarer bunter Kunststoffschlauch,von Interpet kompatibel !!! *:O)Monty benutzt es seid demm ersten Tag lieber als sein riesiges Gehege da er die Tunnel u das damit ferbundene klettern LIEBT!Die Höhlen haben eine tolle u artgerechte Einstreu höhe !Die Belüftungslöcher überall...einfach an alles gedacht !!!Es lässt sich toll Reinigen da es Plastik ist !auch als mir was runtergefallen ist ging nichts kaputt ..auch das ein dicker Pluspunkt !Ich hab das Set 3mal u auch die anderen Sachen gleich mermals gekauft weil mich das so überzeugt hat !Mit viel Natürlischen materialien im Inneren ist das Plastik kein Problem..u er nagt dementsprechent auch an nix rum !
