No directions on the container except that it conditions. I used it like a conditioner in the shower. It stuck to the hair then and wouldnt wash out. I had to google help on getting petroleum products out of hair. Ended up having to mix up an 8 egg and apple cider vinegar solution to put on hair, cover with shower cap and leave on for 30 minutes. Shampooed about 30 times until i finaly felt the strands clean enough to go on to bed. I lost hair as well since it was so heavy on the hair, I have virgin hair so this is nothing to do with a chemical reaction. Just the weight of it on fine hair was too much. Amazon was kind enough to refund me for this order. The seller said they didnt have anyone with this problem, but on the amazon.com there are several reviews that mention the problem with getting petroleum out. That is how i figured what was going on with it not washing out. The reviews on the .com side were very helpful. I bought this product based on the 5 star reviews here on .co.uk but if I had read the .com reviews, I would have avoided the product. If there is a specific way of using this product that will avoid the breakage and horrible experience of not getting out of the hair, then this should be written on the directions of the label. Since most conditioners DO WASH OUT, this would be the normal expectation of a consumer. That once you put conditioner in your hair, you are able to wash it out right after.
