Good quality, solid, reliable brackets.
Ideal for heavy pictures, framed mirrors or headboards etc. Good value and you can interchange different lengths for flexibility. Spreads load well and securely on any wall type. This is a repeat purchase for me - originals used for wall mounted seat backrest

Simple and safe hanging system
I needed to box in pipes above a replacement boiler. I did not want the box to rest on top of the boiler and it had to be easy to remove for servicing and access to pipework. Using a French cleat meant I could run the connector the full width of the box and fit it flush with the wall making the box both very secure and easy to lift on and off. These did the job exactly as I had hoped. They are rated for a much greater weight than a batten and plywood box and are remarkable simple to install. Leveling up the picture, mirror or in my case, box, is simply a case of lining up with the top edge on the object you are hanging then installing the wall fitting at the height you want initially by just fixing by the centre hole, or if an even number a hole near the centre. Attach the included spirit level then make sure the fitting is level to mark the other holes for drilling and fixing. There is likely to be enough room to swivel the fixing without the need to remove it to give access to drill and plug the rest of the holes. Having used French cleats for the first time it was a bit of a revelation. I will accept picture hooks and masonry nails are quicker, easier and cheaper, but the fact the nails are often easy to pull out when redecorating is a bit concerning and unless you want the wires showing the pictures lean out from the wall. Anything heavy means a double hanger and that is best screwed rather than nailed to the wall for safety. These are rated to hold 40 kilos which I suspect would straighten the hook on most cheap picture hooks. These cleats are virtually guaranteed safety, hold considerable weight with whatever you are hanging resting flush to the wall. Whatever you are hanging is simple to mount and dismount without having to engage any wire and will always hang your work of art, or boiler pipe cover, level with no nudging left and right and stepping back to judge by eye. I will be using more of the hangers for a mirror in a large wooden frame and a couple of large pictures when rooms are redecorated and are now my go to fixing for hanging anything on a wall.

Mirror hanging
A French cleat is the best and easiest way to hang a heavy mirror or picture. This hanger was super easy to install and also comes with a small spirit level. Once in position it is easy to move the item slightly to the left or right for perfect placement. Would highly recommend this item.

Fit for purpose but lacks a safety data sheet to confirm maximum load.
I have been contemplating how best to hang a rather large impulse buy, 30kg mirror, for some time now. I need to fix the mirror to a 35mm thick plasterboard, 70 inches from the floor, in an apartment block that flexes considerably in the wind. During my time of contemplation, also know in my house as malingering, I have had ample opportunity to research many different fixing devices ranging from anchors all the way through to basic plasterboard plugs. All of these claim to be perfect for the job but lack the substance required to securely fasten a mirror of this size to plasterboard. Out of all the possible ways of securing such a large item to the wall these brackets fit my requirement best. The x5 points of securing the bracket to the wall distributes the weight evenly, ensuring that not too much pressure is placed on one point of the wall. I ordered two 45mm brackets to ensure a secure fixing along with weight distribution as the mirror is long, 2 metres to be exact. I was initially a bit reluctant to purchase these brackets as there is no safety data available on Amazon or supplied with the item, actual load bearing information for such a product is a basic surly? It is one thing to say call an item "Heavy Duty Picture & Mirror Hanger' but that is not evidence of an items specifications in itself, especially if you have children around the house, the last thing you need is something heavy dropping off the wall. Also I found it odd that there are no details of the screws or wall plugs supplied, size, applications etc. As I was a bit concerned I purchased my own wall plugs and screws. The ones supplied do not look up to the job, just my opinion but without the reassurance of a safety data sheet I will not chance using them. The additional items I bought came with safety data so I know they are up to the job needed. I found that the Fisher 555008 DuoPower Wall Plugs 8x40mm combined with 6x50mm wood screws worked perfectly. I have attached a picture of the screw & plugs supplied with the bracket (white plug), along with the set I used (red/grey plug). Anyway, the mirror is hanging, it has survived 24hrs so I am confident the brackets are up to the job. I am glad I gave these a chance, the bracket itself is a good quality item :)

Easy to fit - secure fixing
Great bit of kit. Used for a heavy mirror. Easy to fit. Works well. Takes the hassle out of ensuring you are 'exactly' central as you can slide the picture/mirror a little on the fitting.

Great
Had a very heavy oak framed mirror to hang and someone suggested this type of fitting. I ordered it, it arrived and I used it no worries. Great product, although I did have to use better stronger raw plugs.

A revelation as mirrors etc hang flat on the wall
Whilst these take a bit more effort than just hanging on a single screw, the weight distribution is far superior. We used it for a very heavy mirror, and it came with the added bonus of sitting very flush against the wall rather than hanging out slightly (as it did previously when hung with a screw attachment). They come with a spirit level included in the package, which is really useful as it just clips onto the top of the rail and doesn’t fall off Recommended.

Great product, exactly what I needed to hang a heavy mirror. The clip on level is a nice touch, its good to be able to check the final alignment on the wall.
