Not absolutely sure
Bought this tracker on the understanding that it was free for a year as advertised. 4 days later, an alert came saying I needed to pay a subscription to the device and the email address is not missing from the email address and fee. As this happened On a Friday night and I hope all is well well didn't want to not be able to track my just acquired car, I paid for it. The device is easy to set up which is a good thing. I charged it up and got it running after a 7 hr charge. I've also get it permanently wired up in my car. However 4 days afterwards the app / device frooze and would only display my last location - 40 miles from where I had parked. This got me worried. I tried to arm it but it wouldn't work. When I got back to my car I then had to do a reset of the device and then rearm it which took about an hour. This has happened on 2 occasions. Additionally on 3 occsssions it has not shown the accurate location of my car i.e. I've parked in a car park - but it shows me In a field 2 miles away. I'll be returning this as it's not fit for purpose.

"A CRACKING PIECE OF KIT".
What can I say; "A CRACKING PIECE OF KIT". I have used this for about 3 months. It is relatively easy to setup (it took me about 30 mins to register and fully understand what is does, how it does it, and just how well it keeps on doing it.) It is not as cheap as some, but I got this on the strength of some of the other reviews. That said it was installed discretely on my car and now whether the wife takes it or even if it is stolen , I can see where and when it went - accurate to about 5 -10 metres. I rarely recommend anything much less take the time to write about it. That said this product is in my opinion, merits it

GPS 'Jumps'
The GPS has a tendency to 'jump' about 1-2 miles south when the power is disconnected. When I flagged it to Aspenta, I was told there was no problem with the unit. There are three negative consequences. 1) When I arrive home and turn off the engine, the unit would have one think the car jumped that 1-2 miles, which is now outside the home geofence. There is no way to force the device to re-acquire lock. 2) If one uses a power bank (the unit only lasts a couple of days) to bridge, say, a 2-week vacation, some time in the middle the same thing happens: the car is first in the airport parking, then at some point it jumps on the runway or a field south of the parking. 3) There are two options on the on-line tracking, a heat map and a path. The heat map would pick up the false location as one dot, but the path actually invents a whole new route that the car 'must have taken' to get there. In my case, the system thinks that the car, mistakenly re-positioned in the middle of the Clyde, had flown over the Clyde to the other side! Aspenta said this 'intelligent' path finding (apparently relying on Google routing) would eventually be fixed - which could be challenging, as the GPS location is wrong in the first place. You would not have any of these issues if you don't take long trips leaving the car and using a power bank, or you are happy to put up with the faff of charging the device off-line yourself and putting in the car every time you take it, turning on the device after disconnecting from power.

I know that isn't that bad but when you have to charge this and everything ...
I shouldnt have bought this. Yes it does a tracking job and has notifications etc but |I just forget to charge it so it becomes pointless. needs charging once a week. I know that isn't that bad but when you have to charge this and everything else in your house you start running out of plugs and wires to keep on top of everything

Easy to use and reliably provides position information
Easy to use and reliably provides position information. However, possibly linked to my Italian mobile internet provider, I cannot retrieve position information on my i-phone when not connected to a fixed internet service.

Money wasted - take money but don't provide promised service.
Poor product and even worse customer service. Used mine for a few months and then the unit stopped being recognised on the app. Emailed support to describe the issue and ask for help and haven't received a response yet (it's been two months). Poor battery life and bulky. Aspenta is happy to take your money for a subscription and in return you get nothing.

Shocking customer service non existent
Mine has fallen of the grid, cannot log into account to view tracker. Have emailed tech support over 10 times with no reply as of yet. My advice is to not buy this product as it's a waste of money. Will emphasis the customer service which has been shocking. Get a uk based tracker at least then you can call them.
