The other side is a hollow, so there is nothing to grip on the floor. Consequently on wood floor it just slides with the door, and on carpet (also because of the hollow) they dip inside the carpet.As a work around I have to stack two of them on the wooden floor, and stack 3 of them on carpet, which is not the best experience!

So just after I hit the buy now button I read the reviews. As I have a wood floor I quickly tried to cancel the order which I couldn't do. They arrived today and I was immediately disappointed as they are black and not the white in the pics. However I tried them and while I can see how people are saying they have no support and the door slides open with them I just pushed the stopper in as far as it would go and they worked fine! Yes they are black but with them pushed in you bearly notice and yes you would never say they are top quality but for less than £2 they are fab and I'm going to get some for my mam!

Utter Rubbish this set of door steps are.It's my own fault to have thought that for such a low priced item,it would be any good.This is made of cheap,thin brittle plastic (Even my plastic bags from Tesco's are made of better quality than this),and will not for the life of man,serve a purpose in holding a door open at all. I've tried it on hardwood floors,carpets,and today,tiles at work..,and it has failed misserably...you are better of covering a brick in some newspaper and using it as a door stop than to try and use this junk..

On carpet, they're OK, but on hard floors, they're pretty bad. They're too rigid, they have too lean an angle and are not as good as my old ones. Plus, if you live in a gloomy home, they're not easy to see in darker areas or of course at night if lights are off. To make these better - 1). Make them, more pliable so they can be more easily 'pressed down' by your door, the friction will aid their grip on holding your door open. 2). I like to use door stops to push the door back on to, NOT how they're normally used, (by pushing IN FRONT of the door to hold it open), so these are too narrow an angle to do much good, (they'd be ok if the angle was the same but had less rigidity).In short, I'll be looking to get better ones, these are, 'ok',.. at best.

I bought these for taking to my work. I only tried these ones, as they came in a multipack, and on several occasions customers have stolen them. At first I thought they were great, but the plastic means they do not stick to hard shop floors well. They have also worn away, to the point where they barely do the job. Overall I wasn't very pleased. They feel cheap and flimsy. But I suppose you get what you pay for

These are made of very light brittle plastic.If you want to use them as door wedges in a light duty office or domestic situation they are just fine.HOWEVER - they are not really suitable for any DIY application. I tried to level up a garden gate prior to hanging it using these. The heel of the wedge is rounded meaning that any light tap from a hammer is very difficult [ the hammer just slips off! The plastic is also so lightweight and brittle that only light force will snap or shatter the wedge.GOOD for light duty use as a door wedge.BAD for DIY applications (e.g. truing up doors, laying laminate flooring etc.)

This is utter junk, do now buy this product. It is the cheapest plastic, not rubber you have ever seen, and 1 of my packs was all smashed and broken. There is no way possible that this item can hold a door open, show me a photo for the people that say it can ? Here is my photo of the broken mess that arrived.

Misleading images or incorrect products despatched as 5 x black wedges delivered rather than 4 x grey wedges and 4 x stops.Foe the sake of a couple of quid I will not be returning them in a pandemic, but maybe they rely upon this?
