Ready, but not used
The base is aluminum and the clevis is steel. Presented no sharp or rough edges that may pose a problem for straps. Powder coating is nicely done. Of note, I haven’t pulled anything yet with it.

Holding up great!
I leave it in the hitch receiver of my can am outlander 850 and I’ve used it a few times already to be pulled out of a mud hole and I’ve pulled a few side by sides and a few other quads out of mud holes with it. So far so good.

I really bought it just to fill the receiver on my Jeep. Not that I need rear recovery point for myself but it does help when you have to pull out your squirrely friends that think they can drive off road with that pavement princess they call a truck. Sturdy piece of equipment and I would definitely buy again.

The product is good BUT the ad is deceiving!!!
I’m writing This review on my husband’s behalf and although the product itself is fine he wants everyone to know you only get one D ring not two like the picture.

Smaller than seems. Know your measurements....
The product is great for a smaller SUV or mini trucks. Does not look right to me on a large Chevy Silverado. So, just make sure you know the size and if it works for you, I highly recommend.

I got this to be better prepared to be towed out of the mud after I got stuck and had to be pulled out of the muck but had no tow rope or chain or anything to hook up to but my trailer hitch. after that i bought this item, a tow strap, a set of shackles and one of those emergency shovel kits... now I am all ready to be stuck and have to be pulled out again! whooo hooo! lol... Plus, at least now i am equipped to return the favor if i ever need to!

Shackle Hitch Review
The ability to rotate the shaft was perfect. For some reason the receiver in my hitch (on a UTV) is set up so that the pin goes in vertically, not horizontally (dumb design). I used this hitch system to pull my driveway drag and it worked great! Heavy duty construction up to any task. Well done!

Great value
Great product! Aluminum but solid. I had to grind this down in a belt sander to fit the inside of my other hitch mounted accessory.
