Is there an external probe similar to GS-6 model available for purchase?

Sorry, currently there's no Glycol Bottle Sensor for GSP-8. We are working on it and it may be available on April.

Can the rechargeable battery be replaced, in case it goes bad?

I guess you can replace it. It’s a special size Li battery but I suppose you can buy one someplace. I’ve had 10 of the GSP8 that I use for work for more than 2 years and never had to replace the batteries. They automatically recharge when you plug them into a USB port. I can’t say that I’ve even seen them low on charge and they are in constant use 24/7.
