Will this work with the sliding windows in my 5th wheel?

They don’t work very well my 4 year old grandson got it off the track to my sliders not once but 3 times !! I don’t recommend them for your 5th wheeler windows

will this work on vinyl windows?

Just barely with mine....be sure to measure the height of your track frame and depth of the track it will sit on and in...compared to the depth/width of the keys. They have held in place so far to prevent slider window from being pushed open past the setting of the key.

what is the screw diameter?

Not sure how to estimate that. I wasn't really sure either. Give it a try.
