Creative Concepts CCS2 Monte Carlo Mounting Shelf

Less positive news first: This shelving system took 3 adult women to properly erect; there are so many parts, it took 4 hands to hold the shelves steady and pull cables and 2 separate hands to build! But, this shelving system is eminently doable--just be prepared with adequate manpower. Now, for the positives: I very carefully shopped for a SPECIFIC CONCEPT AND LOOK: one color, black, where all components and images would look like they are floating out from the wall. This shelving system was the only one featuring that particular concept/look. Even the 2 tempered glass shelves are black. Most systems I viewed have odd-sized shelves, usually 3 of them, most use clear glass for the shelves & nearly all systems confuse the eye with colored hardware, plastic, cables, etc. I had my fireplace wall specially layered with sleek, glossy black for optimum viewing pleasure. When my theater system is ON, the colors and images literally jump out at you, as the cohesive BLACK cuts the glare and there is nothing to divert your attention away from the picture. However, when the flat screen is turned off, the shelving system is extremely modern & stylish; it perfectly matches my black flat screen system, black satellite receiver and other black component beautifully. My system has received nothing but compliments on the sleek design and modern look; everyone loves watching television on my system and agrees that I picked a winner!

This shelving unit is a solid piece. The shelves and back piece look great and very slick mounted under my 51" Samsung.The shelves are not as deep as I would have wanted though and this is why it got 4 stars. I have a PS3, which I do not think is that deep and it doesn't completely fit on the shelf. It doesn't look odd or bad in any way but I would feel better if the shelf was maybe 3-4 more inches.I was suprised that you mount all of the shelves together as one piece, put a mounting bracket on the wall, and then attach the two together.It makes it a little difficult to get everything situated on the shelf with the wires. I found that I had to run some of the wires before I put the shelf unit on the wall. This isn't necessarily difficult but more of an awkward installation step.Once everything is on the wall the unit looks very nice and I don't worry about the shelves moving or breaking because of how solid the construction seems. I plan on using this for many many years to come but I don't think I would purchase this type of unit again.

I feel like this is a waste of money, even though it's not all that expensive. It's very cheaply constructed, and not even properly so. The rods used to line up and join all the parts together were actually too short to include the spacers that are supposed to sit between the actual shelves and the frame, so I had to remove them just to get it together. Not a huge deal, but the metal frame now sits directly on the glass, and can potentially scratch/ break it. It's also a pain to actually mount. The design of the bracket makes it difficult to line the frame up with the bracket, particularly since the prongs are very short.

The small bracket used to mount the shelf assembly to the wall seems very weak. I only have one cable box on the shelf and not sure it will support 2 boxes. There are holes on the back support to run cables through. They are large holes and leave a big gap around the cables. The plastic caps supplied should have holes cut in the center and be designed to be used as fillers around the cables.

this things is worth it, shelf plenty deep for me, cord control abit narrow and takes some technique. assembly also takes abit of imagination but not hard (stack it all on these rods and tighten the ends compressing it all, then hang in on the mounted wal bracket) states black in color...it is but also looking closer mine has golden metallic sparkles in it, interesting. (not noticed unless looking closely)feels solid unlike the "fake wood/plastic chinzy stuff)happy with it youll be too!!

This is a perfect addition to my wall mounted 40" flat screen. Beautiful style and well thought out. The mechanics however were a slight bit less thought out. Not very strong or sturdy brackets for the weight of the self or the shelves capacity.

Very well made. The high gloss finish gives it an elegant look. The back panel has enough room to accommodate up to eight cables, 4 at the top opening and 4 at the bottom. The tempered glass is also black and can hold my cable box, xbox 360 and my blue ray player. This shelf is so nice that I am purchasing two more, one for the living room and one for the kids room.

There is nothing more unnatractive to me than a mounted T.V. with scattered electronics attached. This product worked flawless. It hides the cords that run to DVD and Playstation up to the T.V. It was very easy to mount to the wall and goes well with just about any flatscreen T.V. on the market. It arrived very fast as well. I couldn't be happier.
