March for Science Hat
I chose Heartland national parks yarns for the March for Science on April 22. I've order 4 from the Heartland collection: Denali (pink), Joshua Tree (dark gold), Glacier Bay (dark turquoise) & Kings Canyon (dark evergreen). The color of Denali pink is pretty close to the photo, but I would say that it's a slight shade darker & cooler, so it's less salmon and a tad more maroon. Cream threads are spun into each strand to add a subtle heather appearance. Very pretty.I'm a beginner knitter, so to me, the quality is excellent. I am using size 10 knitting needles, and the yarn is holding up really well. I'm not noticing any shedding or unraveling. I am an intermediate crocheter, and I've worked with a lot of acrylic yarns. The quality of this Heartland collection is soft & durable to work with. I have not tried to launder any of the finished pieces, so I can't say how they'll do in the wash.Overall, I'm really happy with these beautiful yarns! :)

SOOOO SOFT
This is honest to god one of the softest non-blanket yarns I've ever worked with. this is soooo good for any sort of garment projects you want to make. the color is accurate to the picture and surprisingly enough not very splitty on hook. I can definitely recommend for any clothing projects you want to work on.

My New Favorite Yarn!
This is the best yarn ever! I love working with it -- it's the softest yarn I've ever worked with (even more so than "baby" yarn), and it virtually never "splits" or unravels when using a sharp needle or hook. Some 4-ply yarn separates the 4 threads while working with it, especially when knitting, but this Lion Brand yarn doesn't. I knitted a large afghan using SIX skeins of yarn at a time (2 skeins at a time with 3 colors), and none of it split while I was knitting with it. The colors of the "Heartland" series is awesome... it contains highlights within the strand, so it makes it sort of "sparkle". I will use nothing but Lion Brand Yarn from now on!!

Bright Pink!
I love Lion Brand Yarn! Heartland is the perfect choice for gift knitting - hats, scarves, mittens, and so on. I think it would be lovely for a afghan, too. It is durable, silky soft, reasonably priced, and easy to care for. In this one case, I was disappointed in the color. From the photo, I was expected a light red heather, but the actual color is very bright pink.

Absolutely love Heartland yarns
Absolutely love Heartland yarns. Most are more fall colors - deep, rich, and make lovely scarves and hats. This pink inspired me to make a baby afghan - whereas “baby yarn - baby pink pastel” never did. The blanket I was making sold before I had 4 inches made! Was NOT purchased for a new baby - but for use by her 5 year old daughter when they go to outdoor sports games!
