TL;DR: Buy these cables. You won't regret it!I bought this set of Volutz USB C cables and the similar set in Micro USB (those ones don't have gold plating, but all the length and color combos seem the same between the two sets) last November. These are the only cords I use anymore, including the ones that came with my various devices. I mostly use the USB C cables to charge my Samsung Galaxy S8, though I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones that require a USB C cable to charge as well.I haven't formally set up any sort of time comparison experiment between these cables and the ones that came with the devices or that I bought from other retailers, including the Verizon store, but it seems like they charge at about the same rate as my other cables do. Your charge times will likely vary depending on the wall plug that you use, so be aware of that!What these cables have going for them above all the others, however, is that they are obviously of a better build quality. They are nice and thick, which means that they aren't as likely to snap off near the ends where thinner, cheaper cables will. The braiding over the surface of the cords is also a nice touch, as it helps prevent tangling and encourages the cords to coil nicely for storage. The different colored tips are a nice touch as well, because it makes it easy to see which length I'm picking up if I have several in a pile together. I will say, however, that an indestructible cord does not exist, so even though these cables are pretty rugged, you can't wad them up and shove them into tight spaces and expect them to last.I only have a couple of gripes, and they have nothing to do with this set itself, but with product availability overall. First, I have noticed that in their other sets of USB C Equilibrium+ cables, the color of the tips isn't consistent with the colors in this set, which would make it a little tougher to tell the lengths apart if you've bought mixed sets of varying lengths. For example, the blue cord in this set is 10ft long, but they sell a 2-pack of 6ft Equilibrium+ cables where one is green and the other is blue. If they had kept it consistent, so that no matter what combination you bought the cables in, the 10ft was always blue, the 6ft was always green, and so forth, it would simplify matters greatly for their customers.Second, because these cables are so great, I've had one of them (my 10ft one, sadly) "mysteriously" vanish when I was using it at work. I would prefer to buy another 10ft cable alone instead of having to buy a whole new set, as I don't use the shorter cables as often, and I feel like it's a waste of money and resources to buy cables you aren't likely to use. In fact, I'd love to see Volutz put out a combo pack of 3 10ft cables, since that's a length that's difficult to find in high quality cables.But, none of that has anything to do with the quality and performance of this particular set, which is why I'm not taking any stars off of the review.

So far, these are the BEST chargers I've purchased. After upgrading to the S8+ and realizing the factory cord was much too short, I began searching for longer fast chargers and these are the 3rd ones I've purchased as the previous ones quit working in less than a month. These are the sturdiest and most well built cords I've seen. Much thicker cord than all the others, including the Samsung factory cord. Definitely recommend these cords over all the rest!!! Great quality! And 5 cords for under 20 bucks doesn't get much better! I'll update my review should these cords stop working, but I don't think they will.

I have bought several sets of these cords. Not because any of them have broken, but because everyone walks off with them because they are so good!!! I keep several in my car, some in my overnight bag and of course, some at home. I have not had a single one quit working yet, and I had bought several sets of the Micro-USB ones before these also!! Volutz is by FAR the best brand cord I've ever used!!

This is the type of product you use when comparing other products against. These are reliable and affordable, without sacrificing functionality or durability. Immediately after opening the box you can tell that there is pride in the work these people have committed to their product. I highly recommend others to look at this product and to give them a chance, as you will not be disappointed.

FINALLY!!!After buying and trying so many other brands of type-c USB cables....I found the PERFECT ONES! These are very durable, and look great. The 5 different lengths means you'll have one for every occasion. I use the shorter ones for my car charger and portable battery pack, the longer ones I use at my desk at work and the 10ft cable is by my night stand so I have plenty of leash to work with. The type-c end is gold-plated, which is nice, and they go in effortlessly. Often times, the 10ft cables I've bought do not work out of the box or eventually fail.....this one has not failed me yet. These are HANDS DOWN the BEST USB type-c cables on Amazon!!!

We have purchased several Volutz micro usb cables in the past and they have lasted well. Hence the trust for Volutz. Now, hoping to get the same kind of reliability from the USB C cables.

This set of 5 USB C cables was bought to power my new Samsung Galaxy A5. As the only device in the house with a USB-C connection I was suddenly faced with the prospect of only having the manufacturer's cable with which to charge it at home, at work and in the car. Having used Volutz's USB cables in the past I didn't hesitate in ordering this set.Each of the 5 cables connect into place securely and don't drop out when I pick up the phone. The braided cable makes them almost impossible to tangle and if you find you have too much slack you can use the attached velcro strap to tie up the excess ( a new feature over my previous Volutz cables).The five cables cover a good range of lengths, from the shortest at 30 centimetres, two measuring 1 metre, one at 2 metres and the longest at 3 meters in length.I've used them with a mains charger and a USB 3.0 12V car charger and in both cases they support Quick Charging, meaning I can run Google Maps in the car without fear of draining the battery faster than it can charge (as happened on my previous phone).

THIS CABLE CAUGHT FIRE!!! was charging my galaxy s8 plus and i was just chilling then all i hear is BEEP BEEP! Constantly my phone had an emergency message saying to remove USB !! I now have melted plastic on my phone and it will now longer charge!

Took a chance on these after looking for a new type c cable for my Samsung S8 I usually go for Anker cables but they are ridiculously expensive for just one cable.Whilst I was looking at Anker these came up as a Bundle for the price of less than 2 Anker ones.Checked the reviews and took chance.I am really happy with my purchase , not only are they really good quality and support Fast charging but they also come in 4 different lengths so I have them dotted about everywhere.Even the longest cable you get (5ft) doesn't effect data transfer speeds over usb 3.0 which I was surprised about as typically longer cables give me poor data rates.If you are looking for some great quality cables at very reasonable prices I would definitely recommend giving Volutz a go.

After using these cables for a while I was charging my phone and smelt something burning only to find the charging lead melting. I contacted the manufacturer direct direct they asked me to post the faulty leads back to them which I did at my cost. 2 weeks later and serval emails later I've still had no reply for themAbysmal customer service

I brought the Micro USB version of these for my old phone over a year ago and was sadden that I couldn't use them on my S8 (USB C port). I ended up buying another brand since Volutz didn't have any USB-C ones available. Those other cables were slow, the cord frayed and became intermittent in a couple of months. Fortunately by now Volutz had released their USB-C cables and I'm so happy to return the the quality.The colour coding makes it easy to keep track of cables and the mix of lengths covers most eventuality.The only downside is that the cable is a bit thick but it's needed to keep it sturdy while stuffing them in bags and corners.I would definitely recommend the USB-C and Micro USB Volutz cable sets. Not the cheapest but the quality shows. My Micro USB set still work just as good after a year and I've handed them over to a friend after also recommending a set to my Dad to keep track on all his USB devices.Update: After a few months one cable braiding started to go- a quick email and they sent 2 brand new ones.
