Revised downward
Revised: See below: Works well. The motion detector has a red light/glow when it senses motion. I'd love to figure out how to disable that. But overall, it works very well. I use this to notify our caregivers when my elderly dad is up and on the move. No "false positives" when he rolls over in bed but always catches him with he's up and walking. Note: It is possible to move slow enough that the sensor doesn't get tripped. When a person crosses the field the sensor catches it every time. When someone moves directly toward or away it sometimes misses. After a week or so: Worked well for a short time. Now it is much less sensitive to motion. Still works but not adequately for our purposes.

Easy to install
Easy to install, isn't so sensitive that it alerts me to falling leaves. The only downside is that the "chime" selections, although numerous, are god-awful. Very loud, very annoying and all of them a variation on the same weird theme. Think classical music, strange tweeting noises and a high pitched. cheerful japanese voice exclaiming something very enthusiastically. I went with the standard "ding-dong" and its the least irritating.

Reliable, but very sensitive. Can be affected by interference.
Summary:This was purchased as a motion sensor doorbell.Pros:1) Range is good.2) Volume is good.3) Rigtones are good.4) Battery life is good.5) Mostly reliable.Cons:1) Can be triggered by sun heat waves/air.2) Can be triggered by some electronic interference.3) It can be overly sensitive.Suggestions:The sensor lens should be cleaned regularly.

Works great, with the exception of vampires
Almost works tuoo goo. I had to take small strips of duck tape to make the field of view smaller. It was picking up everything high low far and wide. Way more than expected but hey that's great on one hand but you don't want it going off when cars go down the street. But now I have it homed in where it doesn't pick up the cat walking by because I adjusted it just right or it would. Oh and the good thing is it doesn't pick up things without a heat signature, such as the swinging Halloween decorations that are moving in it's field of view, which I just realized a vampire could walk right up to my front door and the alarm wouldn't go off .. uhooh! Note- pick up some garlic to hang from sensor

Reads Motion Very Well
I ordered this because there have been a lot of people coming onto our property lately and we don't hear them until they are knocking on the door. We also have problems with strangers sneaking near our dumpster on our property to throw their trash in. We set this up near the gate so when someone drives in or out the sensor will pick them up and let us know someone is here. According to the instructions, you really don't want it in direct sunlight or in rain. We have it set up where it’s always in the shade and using an old Tupperware container we didn't care about anymore, we covered the sensor so rain shouldn't get on it. It is powered either by a micro USB cable or three AAA batteries. The two chimes work well and are pretty loud even on the default settings. We have one in the living room and the other in the kitchen. So far, it has been working out perfectly.

Chime selection sucks. Defective within a month of purchase.
As others mentioned, the chime selection is horribly disappointing. Very irritating, cheesy songs & alarms or weird greetings spoken by hyper foreign robot voices... none are short or sweet & even at lowest setting, way too loud.We purchased this to discreetly monitor elderly parent's activity & had to use towels & pillows to muffle the sound, even though we chose the shortest, least shrill noise. You'd think a couple of subtle chimes could be offered among 3 dozen, but not a quick ding-dong or pleasant bell in the bunch. We also used electrical tape to block the red LED that lights up when the sensor triggers as we did not wish to draw attention to it.After our improvising, we thought we could make this work for our purposes, but after a couple weeks, the transmitter became less sensitive then completely hit-and-miss despite replacing the batteries. Then one of the receivers stopped working completely and we gave up. We're returning it & are back here shopping for a different (not so cheap) solution. One ☆? Yep! Minus 1 star each for sad sound selection, decline in sensor performance, defective receiver & having to return them.BOTTOM LINE: Guess you get what you pay for, but this time, got even less.

Great value
I really like this motion sensor security alarm. I live in a very rural area with sketchy internet service so WiFi security systems don’t work well for me; this system is wireless with 2 motion sensors and an alarm inside, it works well and I’m alerted when someone comes up my driveway whether by vehicle or foot.

Get what you pay for
These are cheap but they do work. The lowest volume setting was still pretty loud. And with how sensitive the motion detector is on this, every butterfly fart sets it off, so if you're sleeping, have spare underwear ready. Luckily it has a silent mode so the light just flashes when it detects motion. I found pointing it up at about a 45 degree angle worked best for cats and other small animals walking past not to set it off. Any higher and it would pick up air traffic.
