1 PC LARGE Teflon Oven or Pan Liner Baking Mat 17" x 25"

After spending several hours cleaning our oven of nearly a year's worth of grease, I decided to invest in an oven liner to reduce the need to do so again. I was looking for a liner that could withstand up to or over 500 degrees, one that wasn't too expensive, and something that I could remove, clean, and reuse. This arrived on time, but the material seemed a lot more flimsy than as I was expecting, almost like camera film, or cellophane. The photo looks as though it is textured, striated, and has a thickness of maybe a millimeter or more, but this was not the case. The product description said it could withstand up to 500 degrees. My husband tested it through an initial run of 400 degrees and the product completely failed. It burned an oval sized hole up to 12" in diameter, the baking sheet melted right onto the bottom of our oven. You could smell the fumes throughout our entire downstairs kitchen, living, and family room areas; we needed to open several doors to ventilate (in the middle of winter). The entire oven was blanketed by a layer of a grayish white film; it was in all of the nooks, crannies, and in between the bars on the oven racks. The film seemed powder-like and could be wiped off by the smudge of our finger but who knows what chemicals comprised of this powder. Despite handwashing all 3 oven racks, twice, with dish liquid and water, and despite giving the oven several wipe downs, the gray-white "burn hole" stain remains, and the chemical smell returns when we try to use the oven. We have had to throw out 2 home made pizzas for having a distinct chemical taste. I am extremely disappointed with this product and would like to warn any future buyers not to buy this product. It is a waste of money and a health hazard. We will probably need to use the self-clean feature on our oven to 900 degrees to ensure that all chemicals are finally burned away.

I have ordered these several times for myself and a set for my mom when I realized she was still scrubbing out the bottom of her oven. Never again. I take this out and the food wipes right off. I stick it back in and after many many many many uses when it becomes too old or gross, I just throw it away and order a new one. Installed in a few minutes.

Very thin and flimsy. Spend a little more and get something a little better quality.

This worked fabulously for my purposes! After fighting with 'drag' when I quilted a queen sized quilt on my Juki, I decided I really needed a slickery surface for quilting and didn't want to fork over the $50 for a Supreme Slider, so I thought I'd try this. I figured at $8.55, if it didn't work, I wouldn't be out much. I cut a tiny hole for my needle, and cut a little curve out on the right side where the mat met my machine, then taped it down with masking tape in a few spots. Free motion quilting just got a whole lot easier, because this little baby turned the bed/extension table of my machine into a slip n slide!

I have a self cleaning oven. But with the way I cook (what I cook) the only place that needs cleaning is the bottom.With this I just wipe it down.I used to use aluminum foil at the bottom of the oven. But with this Teflon mat I am not using up my aluminum foil roll, - I don't have to deal with not having a long enough piece of foil left on the roll. - And I am not adding foil to the landfill or recycle.And I don't need to run the expensive self-cleaning oven.

I bought this to cut a hold in to use on my sewing machine table. It's very thin and I need to use some tape to keep it down but it unrolled and stayed fairly flat with some ridges in it where it was rolled up. It was very slippery which is exactly what I wanted it to be fore FMQ (free motion quilting.) So much cheaper than the thicker, and I assume more rigid, sliding sheets to use on your sewing table. So, this is the functional, poor man's version that does help get the job done.

I bought this because my old stove left the house with my bottom oven liner!! HUGE mistake, the new oven became very messy very fast and with no liner it wasn't getting cleaned up easy or fast. I am not thrilled that this says LARGE and it even says it measurements was good for my stove but when it arrived it is a few inches on all sides too small. It covers the main center of the oven and for the most part the oven is once again a fast easy clean.
