I purchased this to use with my loose leaf teas from Adagio and it is perfect! I just pop my tea in the little fish part and pour my hot water into the mug and let it steep. It’s really fun to watch the tea color slowly spread throughout the water in the cup and everyone who has seen it loves to watch it too! The fish has plenty of room for the teaspoon of tea leaves that I use. It’s relatively easy to empty (I dump the leave so into a cup to go into the composter) and comes out spotless after a trip through the dishwasher. The mug is a nice size and the handle stays nice and cool even when the mug is filled with boiling water. The lid is adorable and keeps the tea piping hot until brewing is complete and I’m ready to drink it.Overall, this is an adorable and functional mug and I highly recommend it.

Oh this is super cute but my little fishy snapped off with a gentle hand wash. Before that the tea would sometimes escape but it wasn't a huge deal. However, thought I'd try putting a bag in there to keep that from happening and then I just ended up with mild tea water. Just make sure your bulk tea is on the larger size. It is super cute though. And the handle is comfortable to hold.

This is much cuter than I thought it would be. It is incredibly adorable. First time I tried it with loose tea it was not perfect, but that could have been me. I have no trouble using an actual tea bag. Top is molded plastic - but not a cheap plastic - and the cup itself is glass, which gives it a substantial feel. Says 'Carlie' on it, which I was not expecting, but we figured that was the cat's name. Again - cute!

I got this cup because of how adorable it is and that I love cat cups- so of course I fell in love with this cup! However the fish isn’t exactly great for letting in water to fuse with the tea leafs, the leafs even tend to get out and float around. There is a bit of water that leaks from the bottom side- which is odd because we can’t find a crack or anything like that… but it dribbles water still. Aside from that, the fish is hard to clean after you use it. But all in all, it’s a cute gift!

So cute! The fish is a little hard to open. Gave this with loose tea as a white elephant gift and everyone thought it was precious. I do however imagine that the tea would cool off quickly and the fish that holds the tea is a little small so depending on the strength of the tea it might jog give a ton of flavor. But overall this is just adorable! I am considering buying 2 more for my mom and myself.
