Those two pottery stainless tools are made in good material. Smooth edges makes it safer to grip when throwing on the pottery wheel. Easy to use as well.I am happy with this purchase.

While these tools enable your reaching deep into the pottery pieces you make, they are pretty uncomfortable in the hand. Edges of the tools are rounded off ( not sharp) but they are basically flat pieces of stainless steel and hard on the hands while using them. Perhaps reconfiguring them to be more like the handles on your kitchen tools would take care of that issue. Coat the handle in silicon and now you’ve got a real winner!.

I gave these a try, but in a short time they got rust. I am allergic to tetanus so I am very careful about rusty objects. Threw them out.

The metal surface is very slick when damp...liked when throwing clay on a wheel. I've lost hold of mine more than once already.Considering adding some silicone caulk etc to help with grip.

Metal is not rounded-too sharp
