My go to tripod
This is my second purchase of this tripod. I broke the first one (my fault) and loved it so much I got the exact same one again.I love how compact it can be. I can hold it all the way up and store it in my camera bag. This is the easiest tripod to use that I’ve seen. Adjustments take very little time!My only complaint is that mine squeaks when I open or close it.Overall, I think it is a great value for the money!

Three axis adjustment makes this product stand out
There are less expensive tripods in this class. But the three axis adjustment makes getting a perfect camera angle easy. This tripod is sturdy and light weight. When a head position is chosen and tightened down, it stays where you put it, even with a slightly unbalanced load. I definitely recommend this tripod

Great tripod for the money.
For the price, this is a very good tripod for a DSLR. Far sturdier than my $50 Manfrotto budget tripod. The vertical/horizontal adjustment handles work easily.

Don’t need to say much. Manfrotto. Really compact tripod, steady and gives you a lot of room for creativity

Disappointing, better off with a budget tripod
Was looking for a small travel size tripod. This fit the size I wanted and has the manfrotto name on it so I thought it would be great. The legs don’t have stabilizers to the mid beam which makes it tricky to place if you’re not on even ground or if you move the tripod around at all. The extension pole in the center just hangs freely and is tricky to manually adjust, only thing keeping it in is a little nub on either end. The tripod head is sticky, bulky, and cumbersome to deal with. Pretty disappointed given the reputation. Went with a budget tripod at a third of the price which had more features and stood sturdier.

friends told me Manfrottos entry and middle-price points offered good value...
and my initial experience with it has been positive. There are a few ways in which it feels less stiff than desirable, a few hands-on-fit-and-finish issues that feel a bit of cheapness, but overall it's well worth what we paid for it.And I freely admit - ignoring price - that the only way it could be made stiffer would be to increase the cost of making it a fair bit, and the weight would go up. One of my shopping criteria for this was weight, as I expect to carry it around with my camera backpack, so I didn't want a fifty pound Bogen with a cast iron fluid head big enough for an Imax camera. ^_^ My budget wouldn't have withstood that line of shopping either. For the money and weight limits, it would be hard to find a nicer tripod to actually hold and use. The leg latches are well designed so it's easy to open and close quickly with practice. The handles work as expected and smoothly. It came with several quick-releases too, which is nice; my camera, my wife's and the binoculars all have quick releases on them which can stay there, which is a lot more convenient than my first tripod, wherein you had only the 1/4-20 screw, so you tended to leave the tripod attached for the day, which always bugged me. This will be perhaps my third tripod and my wife's second.note that I also intend to use this with some nice Celestron binoculars I bought recently (see other review to come) - the binoculars came with a tripod mount which is okay, but I think I'm going to stiffen it up with some added steel or aluminum bits and a boat-load of JB Weld... which also made it hard to judge whether the tripod in question was to blame for wiggly feelings or the tripod mount from Celestron... so I can't speak to how well that works... yet.
