Q: Would this be a good product to have two fancy rats in?

Not sure how big fancy rats are or what they are...we have a teddy bear hamster and he loves it. He's a good sized and, when he stands up against the rails, he's nowhere near the top. However, he's really, really docile and complacent. Not much of a climber...so he doesn't even try to figure out ways to get out. He just hangs out in there. I wouldn't leave them alone in it, but it's great to get them out of their cages for a bit and not have them on the hands. I highly recommend it quality wise. It's a nice product.

Q: Would this be good for a Hedgehog?

It is tall enough for a mouse or hamster. My guinea pig used it until she was 4 months old and then she could undo the sides and get out. My baby rabbit was able to jump it the second time I put him in it. I don't know alot about hedgehogs, but I would think that one could not use it for very long after the baby stage.
