Truly Great Introduction to the Game
This was a really cost-effective way for me and my friends to get into the game. Getting two starter decks for half the price alongside a booster pack is a really good deal. My only complaint would be is the storm deck has a way better matchup than the tech deck. About 85% of the games we played the storm deck won. That's a minor complaint though since the purpose of this was to get me and my friends into the game, and now almost all of us ended up buying our own decks that interest us anyway.

Opened Package Messy Packaging
Everything was in the package, but as other reviewers have mentioned, the package seal was opened and the contents appeared to either have been removed and re-packaged (very messy) or everything fell out and was put back in.

Wonderful!
My wife and I really enjoyed this game; we were pleasantly surprised. It has great art, some relatively simple rules, and enough complexity and variety in the cards to keep games interesting. Add in the option to modify you deck's with booster packs and it's really great.

My shipment didn't come with a booster pack - everything else was included and it was in great condition. The cards were still wrapped in plastic and looked brand new.

Mixed review from an 11-year-old card nut
My 11-year-old has gone through an extended series of Pokemon phases, which is easy to do, since the Pokemon universe is so dense, with so many video games, tv show series, movies, products and playing/collecting cards/games. He got to the point where he was more into Yu-Gi-Oh, which is similar but with more an emphasis on the card game (even on the tv show the characters “battle” with cards). He also was into Skylanders as a show and a video game, but not as a card game. Magic the Gathering hasn’t really appealed to him yet.So, he was eager to try out this package (our arrived damaged/smashed, like many other reviewers), and was able to read through the dense instruction sheet and understand how the game works. We played a couple of rounds, and he was mildly interested in it. Not super-enthusiastic. It operated very much like a “traditional” card game of Pokemon does, which if you don’t know what I mean, I won’t go into it other than… there’s a playing surface where you put your deck in different configurations, and take turns trying to defeat your opponent (this is mainly a 2-player game). In my mind the market for this kind of stuff is pretty saturated, and I can’t imagine that the card game itself is going to wow anybody. They are likely to come to it from some other source. We saw there is an Lightseekers app game, but it wouldn’t load onto my phone or tablet (“incompatible”). If you had a compelling app that kids love to play, and get to know some of the characters/heroes, and even a tv show that’s able to distinguish itself from Skylanders and Pokemon, or even Yu-Gi-Oh, then maybe Lightseekers can find its niche. For now, the jury is out!For any kid obssesed with these kinds of games, it would probably be worth trying out. But for the casual or curious to this world, Pokemon starter sets (for younger kids) or Magic the Gathering (for tweens + up) would be a better bet for now.
