Max FactoryXenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra: KOS-MOS Ver.4 Figma Action Figure

This figure is simply amazing. The sculpt, paint, HAIR, accesories. Even though it's almost double the original price it's very much worth it. It's big and it's so solid and amazing. My less fragile than my Angela Balzac that has a broken pony tail. I have other Figmas but this definitely takes the cake. I highly recommend it.

KOS-MOS, everybody's favorite battle android joins the fray in the Figma arena. Like any figure in the line, she's very articulate and poseable. Included with her are hands, her blue eyed face plate, her weapons, a couple of stands, and even her D-Teneritas chest plate. I recommend you take a look at the mini manual that comes with it because it shows you how to remove and attach certain accessoriesThe detailing on her is gorgeous. It has a lot of detail that I never really noticed such as the straps and buttons on the back of her boots, her back armor, and her legs. I even booted up my copy of Xenosaga Ep. 3 and used the model viewer to compare the two! Some parts of the chest could have been painted better, but it still looks beautiful nonetheless. Her top and boots are textured with a shiny plastic but her skin, gloves, and part of her chest with a smooth matte finish. Her hair is one of my favorites; it's angelic with its light blue hue, and the way it looks loose and free. It actually has some joints so you can pose the hair down or up making it very versatile.She has a lot of standard articulation points, however, she also comes with a chest swivel giving you more room for creativity and makes her look more dynamic. The gauntlets can be twisted if you don't want it obstructing something. The swivel on her legs is a little different. Normally, you can twist the whole leg around, but for KOS-MOS, she rotates at the knees. Her ankles joints feel stiff at first but once you move it around, it gets loose. Her breast plate is removable if you just grip her firmly and just pull. Putting on the D-Teneritas chest plate isn't as easy to put on because it doesn't slide into place smoothly compared to her default chest. Her face plate also takes some caution in removing because her head gear obstructs it. You have to pull at the surface, and get it out once it's caught by the head gear. She also has a stiletto on her left leg, but you can't use it.Now comes the fun part because she a lot of stuff to play with. She has her PT Cartridge blaster that she uses in Ep.1, the Dragon's Tooth which is a giant laser sword with a detachable blade to turn it into a rail gun. She has a Smart Visor but I honestly forgot its name, her blue eyed form, her R-Blade, and her fan favorite dual gattling guns! It also comes with a muzzle flash accessory. The magazines aren't detachable sadly. Now this is an impressive repertoire of weapons, but I can't believe they forgot her R-Cannon. Yeah, I can understand if F-Schtye, FB-Shot, and even R-Drill (my favorite) didn't make it but her cannon is one of her most iconic weapons.Now comes the flaws. I told you I like the hair but it's also heavy and easy to bump when you're posing her. Her gattling guns are a nightmare to work with because the hands can't open up well enough to grip the handles. I didn't use her gun hand for these because they were too loose. I used the tight grip hands because they held the guns well. If you don't mind losing some hands, I recommend you just keep the hands gripped to the handles. They are also heavy, and when you have both of them, you can definitely feel the weight of the figure. If you're someone like me who likes to mess around with figures 2-5 times a week, it gets annoying really fast.Another thing are her joints. Specifically the shoulders and hip. I know it's hard trying to make shoulders looks natural but the way the arms pop out of the socket like that makes it look weird. If you lift up her skirt (for science) you can see she has a really exposed swivel that connects her legs to her body. I know you can't see it unless you peep up her skirt, but it's those things that you can't get your mind off of. You know you can't see it, but you know it's a weird mess. Lastly, her chest swivel can also move around too much if you're posing her with the gattling guns.Sorry for the long winded review, but if you're a fan of Xenosaga and you like KOS-MOS, this is something that you might want to consider if you have some money saved up.

Figure came in it's package free of damage, and was easy enough to remove. No loose parts rattling around either. The level of detail on her face and other parts is also nice, although it looks like they skipped in a few spots. Namely the waist armor on the sides with how it's connected and another piece that should be in the middle of it. Learning how to position/manipulate her and her stand was a learning experience, but not a bad one. Articulation of certain parts does leave a little bit desired, however. Mainly her hair. The included weapons and extra hands is nice, although I wish they included more of her arsenal. Overall happy with what I got but so have to dock 2 stars for the skipped details and the minor articulation issue. Still, highly recommended, as most people probably would not care about those facets. A must for any Xeno collection.

This came in early, like super early! Came on like 1 week earlier and I'll take it!The shipping product was great, arrived in great condition; no dents, no scratches etc. The box itself looks great; however, I'm not opening it until I get my telos figma coming in as well.

Similar to the T-elos figure, extremely well made with great attention to detail. The gatling guns are both one solid piece (both good and bad) but the Dragon Tooth seperates into three pieces (four including the beam blade). Again, only downside is failure to include all weapons, as it is missing her CANNON arm blaster and her R-BLADE, the counterpart to T-elos L-BLADE wrist sword. As well as that, it also has a small issue with the legs detaching quite easily (assuming this is to recreate battle damage suffered against T-elos, but is still kind of concerning) other than those minor issues, another great Max Factory piece.

Lots of accessories but they're heavy and weigh down the limbs a great deal. the detail on the paint is good, the lettering great, the hair color slightly off, and the texture was a little plasticy compared to other figmas which are generally fully matte. The articulation of the hip joints is odd and makes things look weird and slightly disjointed.

i love it. it's kos-mos. what else could you ask for? arrived in perfect condition, it's a gorgeous figure and one that i'm not at all ashamed to display.

I am a big fan of Kosmos from the Xenosaga series. I don't buy figures very often but, I had to have this one. Very pose able, she comes with many attachment, different hand grips, very delicate though. The grip hands aren't wide enough to attaché some of her weapons, so you have to be delicate when handling. I really like the attention to detail that was put into her though. Although kind of pricey, I saw a bigger Kosmos figure for less at a comic store, this one is worth it, if you want an all around figure that looks and poses like Kosmos from the game.

Exactly what I was looking for!

実はゲームの方は当時、知人に”エピソード 1”を借りたものの、RPGより対戦格闘やアクションの方が好きな私は、あまりに長いムービーに投げてしまったのですが、”KOS-MOS”にはいたく気になってましたね～。Ver.4ではさらにカッコ良くなってるし、ちゃんとVer.1との繋がりを感じさせるデザインとなってて、大変良いなと思いました。人気もあるみたいで、Ver.4のフィギュアもたくさん発売されててどれにするか迷う所ですが、わたしの初KOS-MOSは、お手軽(完成品)でアクション性も高く、プレイバリューも良さげな”figma”をチョイスしました。とりあえず箱から取り出し、眺めて見た感想はというと「…ふ(う)つくしい」…です♪個体差がある塗装精度ですが、私のは幸運にも完璧に近い物でした。本当に美しいです！お顔の印象が、ゲーム中やイラスト等とのイメージがどれとも一致しない気もないのですが、リアル等身に近く、”美人のお姉さん”って感じで、個人的にはツボです(笑)それでは可動させてみましょう。figma に限らず完成品可動式フィギュアは、可動部分が固着等で動かないとかゆるいとかが必ず存在するのですが、この娘にも多少はあります(笑)　figma 独自の可動ヒンジは、強度と保持力に置いて信頼性も高く、安心して動かせます。長いドラゴントゥースのソードモードでも持ち手が緩いものの、腕関節は負ける事なくちゃんと保持が可能(さすがにハンドバルカンは肩が負けちゃいますがw)です。しかし交換用手首の差し込み軸に固いものがあるので、ヤスリ等で調整してやる必要がありました。逆にユルかったのが、胸部ボールジョイントの下部分で、引っこ抜こうとしても固くて破損しそうでしたので、”水性木工ボンド”をつまようじで隙間にチョイチョイと塗っておきました。水性木工ボンドをユルい所に塗るとなかなか良い感じになるので、オススメです♪figma KOS-MOSの売りはやはり軟質で自由度の高いスカート周りでしょう(笑)これにより脚部の可動は他のメーカーより良好となっております♪しかし足首にはもう少し自由度が欲しいですけどね。そういえば、黒いストッキングと白いブーツの所が軸可動する事にしばらく気付きませんでした(笑)…同じように二の腕の素肌の部分と黒い腕カバー？の所が軸可動するのですが、ここは少し固い上に動かし難いですね～。説明書に可動部分も掲載してると助かるのですけどね～うちに来た娘は前髪だけがユルくてポロリするので、瞬間接着剤で調整しました。ファティマグラスは少しきついものの問題ないレベルでしたが、フェイスパーツの脱着は少しコツが必要ですね～。それにしてもフェイスパーツの数は２つと物足りない気が…胸部パーツは前方斜め下に引っこ抜けます。そして交換用胸部パーツですが、押し込んでもなかなか隙間のなくなるまでは入ってくれなくて苦労しました。ただ一度擦り合わせしてやることで当たりが付いたのか、その後の交換は楽になりました(笑)少々クセも有りましたが、総じてハイクォリティーなアクションフィギュアで、武装パーツてんこ盛りでプレイバリュー抜群、美しくもカッコ良い、今更ながら購入して大正解でした(笑)

パッケージがきれいにできていますのでそのままにしていましたがレビューのため武器はしまったまま本体だけ飾っています。ヒールが高い割には髪を跳ね上げても自立します。かなり前屈みにはなりますが。また可動は期待できませんが立ち姿だけでもスタイル良くFAG等より顔も小さくキレイなので雰囲気があります。武装すると場所を取ってしまって飾れませんのでしばらくはこのままにします。

大変満足のいく商品でした＾＾武装パーツのバリエーションが豊富でどれを付けようか迷うほどです。あと２体ほど欲しくなってしまいましたｗｗガトリングは非常に重量があり普通に持たせると負けますが、ガトリング専用の支え棒がついているのでパッケージ通りに持たせるのは問題ありません。ただガトリングを持たせた状態でのアクロバティックなポージングは長い支え棒を用意しないと難しいかもしれません＾＾；タイトルに書いた事は頭(髪の毛)が重いという事ｗ商品の画像を見て分かる通り髪の毛が浮いています、多少動かすこともできますが動かしても浮いている状態になるので重量が後ろに集中します。首のジョイントが緩い商品だと常に上を向くことになるかもしれませんが、その辺は簡単に補強出来るので問題ないと言えば無いです。

Xenoファンですが、満足のいくクオリティです。もうちょっと顔が大きくても良かったかとは思いますが、細かいデザインも良く表現できていると思います。付属パーツもたくさんあり、figmaのT-elosにも流用できます。
