I’ve recently been cooking for a relative on dialysis awaiting his transplant. Having to keep phosphorus low meant including carbs like couscous, rice, pasta in our meals. My brother was taking this with a very good result in terms of lowering cholesterol. So I started taking it and was so confident that I would get a good result, I started eating worse and exercising less, after I started on it. Two months later my cholesterol had gone from 255 to 215, and the next time I had it checked, maybe a year later, it was at 195. It may have saved my life. My cousin who has cholesterol somewhere above 300 took it, with no result (but he eliminated his Lipitor when he started, rather than adding it to it). One other gal I mentioned it to also had no cholesterol lowering. Red rice yeast worked for her. I guess it may depend on the individual, but I can't say enough good for what Irvingia has done for me personally and my cholesterol problem. Some of you might know the drill. You go to the doc for the first time in decades, and he expresses great alarm at your cholesterol problem (which you didn't know you had) and sends you packing with a sample of Lipitor - like you can't wait another minute to start on it or you're dead. While he gets the perks from the drug companies. I think that little bottle of Lipitor is still kicking around my office somewhere.

I started taking this product based on what Dr. Oz said... weight loss. In reading other ppls reviews, I see others take it for cholesterol control and diabetes. My cholesterol levels are a little higher than where they should be and I could lose maybe 20 lbs. A year ago, I delivered a beautiful, healthy baby boy. I did have gestational diabetes (I am was 40 yrs old) and took very good care of myself while pregnant. Since my pregnancy, I try to eat like a diabetic because I am more likely to get diabetes down the road, due to my gestational diabetes. I did read on a review, that someone was taking this (based on dr. recommendations) to help with their pre diabetes situation. Since taking this product -- starting in Sept, I have lost 8 lbs and haven't had my cholesterol checked or my blood sugars, yet. I am concentrating on losing more weight by taking this product 2X per day, eating low carb healthy meals and doing more walking. So far, so good. If this can help with cholesterol, potential diabetes, and a little bit of weight loss, I call this a win win for me. I have ordered my 3rd round and will keep taking it for a while.

Good results so far. When I originally joined Weight Watchers years ago, I didn't even lose 5 pounds during my 3-month membership, so that was a bust. I rejoined WW last month and started taking Integra-Lean as well. So far, I have lost almost 12 pounds in 5 weeks. I also have hypertension. Even on two meds, my BP would be in the high 140s/90s range. It's now in the 110s/70s range, and my resting heart rate had decreased from an average of 80 beats per minute to 65 beats per minute. Can't wait until my next labs to see if my cholesterol and A1C levels have gone down as well.

It is the first time I bought this product. Didn't know what to expect. I didn't know if I was suppose to be taking this with any other products. The only thing I can say it has curbed my appetite. I need to lose weight but I don't want to lose it really fast. I figure the longer it takes me to lose weight it won't be so easily gained back. I have lost about 3-4 pounds the first month that I was on this product. You take one tablet twice a day and I don't feel as hungry like I did before I started this. But like I said, I don't know if this should be taken in conjunction with some other weight loss medication. I saw this on line and just thought I would try it.

I did not buy this to lose weight, I bought them to help lower cholesterol. Well, IT WORKED FOR ME!!. My cholesterol was 254 in November 2011. I was panicky and tried to reduce via diet control and in January was retested at 238. Diet alone was not working. So in February I ordered the Integra-Lean. I recently had my cholesterol level checked and it was down to 195!!!!!!!!!! with no change in diet ( I even stopped the cheerios and oatmeal and went back to bacon and eggs!!) I am reordering this product in the hopes that my cholesterol will drop to the 160 level. I am rating this 4 stars and not 5 since I I realized it was for weight loss and I only loss 4lbs in 2 months - not what I would call "success", but better than weight gain :)...

This product was recommended to me by a friend who saw it touted on a certain, popular TV doctor's show. So I gave it a try. (I'm 62 and 8 year cancer survivor, so I'm always looking for an edge on aging and health enhancement.) I usually give a new supplement a reasonable chance and take it for 90 days (as long as I'm not having an adverse reaction). But I took this product for only 60 days, and I took it strictly in accordance with the directions. During that period, however, I cannot say that I noticed or felt *anything* new, different or better. My appetite didn't change, my weight didn't vary, my energy levels didn't increase, my metabolism continued to rev at its caffeine-addled, insane pace, and my mood remained sickeningly upbeat and jolly. Nor did it cause me any adverse reaction - thus the 3 star rating. So after 60 days and zilch discernible effect, I couldn't justify dropping another $21.00.This is not to say it's not a good product or that other folks won't benefit appreciably from it. It just didn't seem to make any difference at all in my case.
