Can you make your own categories?

Yes, you can. Each divider is plain so you write your own categories. Even though the picture shows pre-written words they come blank.

Is there a list of the names on the labels that I can see?

There is also two blank stickers. It says you can also create your own by going to clutterdiet.com/products. Frankly, you can just use a sharpie and print your own. I would use printer labels so you can reuse if you want.

Has anyone tried these on the wire closet shelving? (i.e. Closetmaid)

I bought these when I organized my closet last year. I love them! Some might say they are overkill, but frankly, I do feel they help me put things back where they belong, thus helping me stay organized. Such a simple thing, but for me, they help tremendously.
