Through the Looking Glass-Om Illustrated Classics

A delightful and fascinating masterpiece of Lewis Carroll
I truly enjoyed this world world of fantasy which was the invention of Lewis Carroll. Through the looking glass is a sequel to the children's classic novel Alice in the Wonderland. Alice again enters a fantastical world, this time by climbing through a mirror into the world that she can see beyond it. The phrase through the looking glass implies unpredictability and strange happenings. The illustration by John Tenniel were superb I felt I was in that world of nonsense.Lewis Carrolls writing style is very unique. It gives off an incredible amount of energy, perfect for a children’s book. His use of words give a sharp image in the reader's head, just like as if they were actually there. He uses excellent imagery. His descriptions on every single character was great, and that was one thing that I enjoyed. He is most famous for his writing style of lyrical nonsense in his works. The seven-and-a-half-year-old protagonist. Alice is a happy child, if a lonely one. She has an expansive imagination, her favorite phrase being "let's pretend." In this imaginary world she meets various characters like the Red Queen, White Queen, Tweedledee, Walrus etc. All the characters are soo adorable and fascinating. Lewis Carroll is the one of the few authors that take the time to describe the supplementary characters.I would recommend this book to readers who like reading fantasy and who like to use their imaginations while reading. Though this is a children's classic novel there is no limit of age to read this.

Great book of course, but an excellent publishing too
The book by Lewis C. is a classic and a sheer pleasure to read for the humour and language usage. This copy had a hardcover, appropriate font size for my 10 year old and nice illustrations. Found best of the copies available.
