All 4 of my knives that I purchased in September, and actually used for 1st time Thanksgiving, have some kinda coating peeling off of the handles and actually chipped one sliding in the holder. But can't use after 1 months of light use because leaves black plastic ish stuff over all food and don't know if it's toxic. Should have tested

The whole reason I went with this set is because it says it comes with the stand/holder. It does not. They seem to be nice knives and cut very smoothly but I was expecting to keep them in the stand on the counter not in a big square box. Where am I supposed to put that. I would of went with the other set that had an extra knife that was a couple dollars cheaper and came in a box. But I wanted the stand so I went with this set that didn’t come with a stand anyway even though it says it does. Don’t be fooled by the false advertisement.

I've had this set for a little over a year. The knives are sharp and have held up well. The problem is the base of the blade where it attaches to the handle. The hilt does not completely cover the base of the blade exposing a very sharp point which can cause injury. I've been fortunate, but I'm very careful and use protective gloves.

Although this set doesn't have a lot of pieces that's actually a plus. It has none of those sizes that you only use once in a while. And the counter top holder is great -- hardly takes up any counter space.
