I don’t dare leave her out because the coyotes sweep the neighborhood every night but she is often reluctant to come when called
I needed two tracking tags for my Marco Polo system, one for my Labrador retriever and one for my cat. The cat only weighs 8lbs and loves to hide from me when it is time to come in at night. I don’t dare leave her out because the coyotes sweep the neighborhood every night but she is often reluctant to come when called so this is the perfect product. I tested it and it takes me right to her exact hiding spot. I’m thinking that if I do that a few more times she just might give up and come when called! We’ll see… I take my Lab with me hiking on the weekends and he can’t stay out of the water for a minute. This product is rated for prolonged swimming so it is perfect for him. Plus, it works without cell coverage which is often spotty in the areas we go. The cost difference was also a no-brainer compared to the GPS system I was looking at. That other product was $80 for the hardware and $120 a year for the service – almost double the cost of adding a second pet to my Marco Polo system just in the first year! But it doesn’t stop there, with the GPS system the service fees alone ore equal to the cost of the Marco Polo tag and go on forever. Even if the GPS product did fit may cat (which it doesn’t) and worked where I hike with my dog (which it won’t) the cost is way higher. This makes the Marco Polo a no-brainer.

Solid second tag Teamed with the Tracker these things are worth every penny!
Works great! I bought this for my drone. It is insanely awesome. It is small, Light weight and strong! I will never loose a drone again, I know they have the one with out the case specifically for drones, but my dogs also play with my drones so this was the perfect fix! This is my second, the first is still going strong no problems, they're just so useful and effective I love them! Solid product! Read the manual and you will be set! Simple!

NOT working in only 5 months
Worked fine at first, but now we keep getting ALARM signals even though the dogs are in the yard. Then we get no signal when we try to fix the situation. The rubber cover on the charging port fell off. The rubber cover on the power button is in shreds. I'd only recommend this if you only will need it for a month or so.

Works well with the Marco Polo system
Works well with the Marco Polo system, battery life is better than expected, after my cat being away 5 days completley out of range upon return it only took about 30-40 seconds to re chatge completley.

This company stands by their products!
I have used these collar tags to keep track of my dogs for over 7 years. They do not rely upon cell service which is great because I don't have any! The handheld tracking display shows direction and signal strength and communicates via radiofrequency. The monitoring mode allows you to set a distance perimeter, which if violated causes the hand unit to alarm. Distance is completely dependent upon terrain and line of sight issues. My maximum range achieved was 4.2 miles from a hilltop with a clear LOS. In rolling hills with tree cover, it is only a bout 1/2 mile. In urban areas with a density of houses, expect about 2 blocks. I even located one UNDERWATER after my dog shed his collar. (granted, it was only about 6 inches deep, but still impressive) The best part of these collars is the customer service. Over the years, I have had the antennae break with rough use, and had the batteries wear out. For a small fee like $25, Eureka will replace your battery and repair any damage; I have had that performed twice now over several years.

Holding up so far to my rough playing chew monster dogs
I chose to go with this brand because it has the longest battery life, especially when actively tracking a missing animal. I can't speak to whether it lasts a full week when active tracking, but the battery life on the passive/monitoring mode has been great so far. I have a bichon frise and a mini schnauzer, and it's not too heavy for either one, and doesn't seem to bother them. And so far, I have not seen any damage to the holders or devices from water or chewing. My dogs play rough with each other and collar chewing and tag chewing is often a problem, but these are staying in place and seem untouched. My bichon also dives into every water source she can get, and the waterproof claims this device makes seem to be true. Rain or puddles, or a splash pad - it's held up great to all of it.

Only half of one product. Don't forget to purchase the other part
Bought this without realizing that this is only half of the total product. Bought a less expensive product that worked very well.

Great device but newer version harder to use
We've had the Marco Polo for several years but recently the collar unit stopped charging so we needed to replace it. The new "advanced" unit is sleeker but not as easy to turn off and on. We have this on our dog's harness and it requires that we undo some of the velcro straps each time we need to turn the unit on or off which is a bit of a hassle and something that was not an issue with the older attachment. Still it's a great little system which is why we continue to use it.
