Invaluable travelling accessory
I use these items a lot when travelling. These three are my current ones, and this review is about the long silver device (the second photo). All these three promise USB 3, which has recently been rebadged as USB 3.1. The price of these items varies with promotions and this item is currently £13, the middle one £35 and the lower one (no longer available) was £15 in 2019. There are two advantages of the more recent items: the HDMI link and the through-hub power connection (using PD, not QC). This particular device does not reliably transfer power to an iPad (pro) but transfers power three times quicker than the green one to Android devices. The green one is much better with an iPad (but not "quick") and also has a more reliable HDMI connector. Note that this device also has a USB-C connector in addition to the PD power connector. However, only one of the USB-A ports is 3.1 Gen1 . The green device sports three USB-A 3.1Gen1 which are labelled USB 3.0 on the actual device. However they do all work at Gen 1 speed. For travelling purposes, this device currently represents the best compromise between cost and features, unless you are using it with an iPad or a Smart TV.

Works really well!
This hub tool is an absolute necessity, with my laptop only having two usb c slots and this one works really well - compared to others that I've had before this one, it stays cool, even after prolonged use, which is very reassuring. No lag time from laptop to screen either. Would recommend.

Great device - Highly recommended.
Due to the USB limitations on my laptop, I bought this to give me the extra USB ports. After connecting my headset to the USB after a few minutes I get static on the line and need to unplug the headset and then reconnect. This is a constant issue. I didn't know how to contact the seller to request a new device. This is why I have only rated 2 stars.--------------------------------------------------------I got a reply from the seller quickly and was offered a new docking station FoC. Very pleased with the quick response. USB Docking station is highly recommended. Don't need anything big. This small device is a great item and does everything you need. This is why I've changed to 5 stars review

Works great
Adds Ethernet and HDMI support for my laptop that wants to output these services signal over USB-C.9 months on and it's worth an update. I read a review railing against the device because it doesn't do GB ethernet. And that's problem if you need GB ethernet. It's not a requirement for me and the 100MB ethernet works OK. So does the HDMI. The review also rails against the USB-C port because its doesn't act as a USB-C port in the sense you can't add another USB-C device to the port and expect data. It's 87W power only port. The real reason for this additional post is because I too was getting frustrated. Wanting to use a DooGee Android tablet as an additional monitor my assumption was that I'd be able to plug a USB-C cable into the hub and the tablet and it would work. No it doesn't because the USB-C port does not carry data. Instead, I'm using one of the USB 3.0 ports which does carry data by using a cable that has a USB style connector on one end - into the hub's 3.0 port - and a USB-C style connector on the other end to plug into the tablet. Works like a charm. Just though you ought to know.

Best value for range of ports I could find
So far so good, seller was excellent in answering my enquiries over the full functionality of the multi port adapter. So far so good, early days, if there is a problem I will contact the seller as they were very helpful in making the decision of investing in the port adapter. All the ports I have tried work:-power to a USB, yet to try the VGA split screen and other ports. Looks good, I added some stickers. It would have been nice to see more branding on the adapter.Sent with no bubble wrap in a generic packaged box so lost a star for that.Brilliant service from Amazon as always. Cheers.

Jack of all trades master of none. Quality or Speed = No.
It's a dongle. It's not a High-quality one, but all the bits work somewhat.I tested this thoroughly to see if it would be my daily driver.I only wanted this as it had USB-C and USB-C power passthrough and for the versatility of all the ports.I mainly use the HDMI Output. The SD Card reader is CRAP and tops out at 10 MB/s for me. Shocking, I know. But it "works" if you are fine with slower read speeds. The USB inputs all worked for me.Ethernet is CRAP. It maxes out at 100 Mbps and doesn't even reach 1000 Mbps. You cannot use the HDMI out + the VGA out simultaneously. The HDMI out is also Buggy.Depending on the display, it doesn't work at all.i.e. my Gaming 1440p 144hz monitor does not like at all whatsoever. I think it tops out at 1440p 60hz.Even though it works with the 1440p 60hz, it doesn't always pick it up.One workaround I found is that you can plug your USB-C power through the dongle, which has enough juice to pass through HDMI to my display.I have never had to do this with any other Dongles for HDMI, only this one. It's a Jack of all trades, master of none; he tries to do too many things but does them at a reduced performance. I wouldn't use all the ports on it at once. I can't trust it won't blow up my Laptop if I use every single input simultaneously. It probably won't even be recognized with the amount of power it sucks up without plugging your USB-C power into it.The only redeeming factor is that it's cheap. It gets you maybe 30% of the way there, but if you want better performance or are looking for quality. This is not it.
