great read! I couldn’t put it down!!
I throughly enjoyed this book and will be immediately getting the next book! I’m a sucker for fantasy witchy mystery with a sassy heroine but the tarot tie in with some fiery intimacy pushed this story to the top of my fav book list! Being an avid tarot reader, I often cringe when books make attempts to incorporate tarot and majorly miss the mark. None of that amateur trendy bs here! Love love love it!

Woooow!!
Okay so I usually wait to read the whole series to make a review but this book deserves it straight away! I was hooked from the first page. I mean the whole world that the author created is incredible. I don’t want to write any details about the story because I don’t want to spoil anything but if you like strong female characters who are still relatable you have come to the right place! The relationship between the characters is a good mix between the inevitable pull they have for each other and the resistance they try to exert of it. Cannot wait to read more!

loved this
This was an amazing read that I could not put down until I finished the very last word. The pace the book moved along was very comfortable which made for easy reading. The characters were out of this world and so real that you felt as though you knew them personally and the story, WOW, it was amazing. When you got to the end you were instantly wanting more. I cannot wait to read Book 2 in this wonderful series.

A tale very well told
This story is next level. Not only is Stevie a fantastic, self-possessed and clever FMC who doesn't take any crap but every character in this book jumps right off the page and takes a life of its own. The use of Tarot as central to the story is expertly done - the way their magic works and the world itself is intricate and fascinating in and of itself, even without considering the very strong chemistry driving the interpersonal stories between characters. Can't wait to read more - very strong start.

3.5 rounded to 4
I think there was a lot of angst that did not need to happen and a lot of secrets kept from Stevie that she accepted too easily. Other than that enjoyable.
