Got tools? Else 1 time use...
As is, these gauntlets are passable for a short term Halloween costume. They look pretty awesome, but are uncomfortable, and the finger plates WILL fall off due to cheap, thin and dry strapping. You will also need arm protection/padding as it'll cut you at the top, or at least dig into your skin. The riviting is poor at best, and sticks out in a pile of places to add to the discomfort. On the bright side, they're all aluminum rivets, so it makes peening, snipping or drilling them out easy enough. The gloves they come with are (I believe) faux suede, and are horrendously lose. You have zero dexterity, and don't protect your hands from the aforementioned pokey rivets. So! If you have rivets, Chicago screws, a spare pair of gloves, nippers, a drill, leather strapping, a leather punch and about 8hours you can turn these into usable gauntlets. The metal plates are sharp around the edges, but look pretty good, and will stand up to some light hammering.Overall, I paid around 100$ CAD for these and put in about 100$ more for tools and supplies. Considering I've seen these same gauntlets for several times that amount it's not a bad deal, but set your expectations. If you want a sick Halloween accent for a one time costume, these are great. However, if you have the skills, you can make them usable.

Great value for what you're paying
I have two minor complaints. Well, two and a half.First being that these are WAY too shiny.Nearly chrome.I lightly sanded them, sprayed the metal with a dark gray primer, and sanded that back giving an aged look.Second is that the hinge to the thumb-plate shown on the photos is not present AT ALL.That kinda speaks for itself.2.5 is that on the right glove, the thumbplate was riveted too far forward, causing the plates ahead of it to bunch up and not interact correctly.I fixed this issue but should not have had to.

At your risk
Wore them for the first time today. They immediately fell apart. Of course I'm just out of my return window. The steel is pretty good quality. The gloves not so much. Since the steel attached to the gloves on the fingers, that's a problem. I lost several finger plates today. I was literally just walking around. No fighting or hitting them on anything. So I'm pretty disappointed. I also had some rivets break. Honestly for the price they're not bad. I knew when I got them I should have redone the rivets and attachments. I just didn't have time. So if you buy these be prepared to put in a couple hours of work so you don't lose pieces.

It said it was new but they are used. Great design. Poorly delivered.
I bought this gauntlets because I love LOTR and was more than happy to cosplay as Nazgul in my Halloween party. They said I was buying a new pair of gauntlets but they were smelly and you can tell they were used previously. They were soaking wet in oil so they wouldn't take physical damage or paint stains, since the gauntlets were re painted. I had to clean them all over and remove some painting stains and wash them and throw some perfume because of the smell. Once everything was done, they were amazing. I just wish I hadn't gone through all that trouble to get them like they were supposed to arrive.

Awesome
So I wouldn't call them battel ready, but I would call them camera ready. The assembly feels kind rushed and would take some work if you wanted to use them for anything other then costume. That being said for the price, if this was just a bag of metal pieces it would be well worth the price. I am very happy with them.
