I bought this reel for the heavy power royal charge spinning rod, it light and has smooth drag, I would recommend buying one.

Everytime I cast my nuggets shrink and rise into my body like I'm going down a huge roller-coaster. It has the weight of a Trojan battle axe but the sweet gentle whisper of a caterpillar. My arm hairs poke out like my ex wife's chin stubble each time I'm reeling in a big old fish. God bless this rod.

this is my second kastking reel. the first one i purchased is on a summer rod. this one works good but started making noise the first time out on the ice it very well could be nothing. i never looked into it or oiled it so dont let that steer you away from this reel. katking are some of the smoothest reels ive used

Good reel for the money, but feels a little bit week.

I like the long shank as I have bigger hands, the anti reverse work flawlessly. Drag is smooth, it's light weight and a great value for the price point. I've many reels these are at the top regardless the price

When the reel first arrived it didn’t seem very durable. Took out of box and it already made a noise when reeling. After my first review, KastKing customer service contacted me and offered to replace the reel. The new reel arrived today, and it operates very smoothly. I am impressed with the reel a great deal. I plan to use the reel for ice fishing.

Creo que es muy bueno me gusta por el precio el peso y por la potencia de arrastre que trae. Solo tengo dos detalles el primero desde nuevo escucho un pequeño ruido casi mínimo pero e comprado 2 y el otro no tiene ese ruido. A uno le puse hilo de muy buena cálida y me a dado problema porque seguido me hace enredos de hilo tal vez sea que el hilo es muy fino y este carrete no esté capacitado para un hilo tan bueno tal vez pondré un hilo de menos cálida y veré cómo funciona

Drag system is not smooth but the rest of it is excellent quality. Reels very smooth but yes drag is weird but functional and works how a drag should just feels rough.

Brand new out of the box this reel has a sticky retrieval. I am hoping after a little oiling it will be working good but it’s brand new and I don’t feel I should be having to tinker with anything to get it functioning correctly.
