The Art of Star Wars: Visions

While the Star Wars Art of books used to be 256 pages in a larger format for £20-25, a couple of the newer ones have been a touch more expensive, but none more than this one - just 192 pages for nearly £40. This seems to be due to the UK release apparently having been cancelled, requiring buyers to purchase more expensive US import copies.All that said, I quite enjoyed the Star Wars Visions series, with its interesting mix of art styles from one episode to the next, and as a collector of the Art of books, knew I had to get this one.The artwork is fantastic as ever, and there's some text along the way providing interesting information about the art and development of the series.

My son was very happy with this gift! He loves anything Star Wars and had no complaints with this purchase!

What I like about the book is the revelation of the messages from each short, original and creative innovations, while staying true to authentic Star Wars, balancing Japanese and American cultures and artwork together, inspiring me to get back to making art again which I have not since High School, the anticipation of the sequels to some of these shorts and hopefully Season 3 of Star Wars Visions will have them, and keeping up with the inspiration that motivated George Lucas to create Star Wars after he was mentored by his legendary filmmaking mentor, Kurosawa.What I do not like is that Lucasfilms and Disney are behind making children and adult book versions of the recent Disney+ shows and this will hopefully inspire them to make more. Plus they need to have more of the character’s perspective not the third person narrative because that was a complaint in the Junior Version of The Book of Boba Fett.This is my Merry Christmas gift to all of those Japanese Filmmakers and the author of this book and hopefully this will inspire them to make more Star Wars Visions seasons and books. My verdict is that this art book is inspiring, authentic, and a wonderful way to learn how to be creative.

Ordered this back in June, and was so excited to finally have received my copy. As a big fan of this series and excited for the next season, it was nice to see the development of the art and characters of the series! Definitely a must if you’re a collector of the art book series for anything that Star Wars related! Well recommend for sure!
