Freud Router Bit Rounding Ovr 34-128
N**
No sanding was required!
I used this router bit to round over 1-1/2” hickory for stair treads. There was no splintering or fuzzy wood fibers. It performed up to my expectations and then some!

These are the best bits
Freud bits cost more up front but the quality and longevity is outstanding. Quality carbide bits that are not just a thin coating like most. They come incredibly sharp and hold their sharpness over long use. I usually do not have to sand after using them. You can use cheaper bits but sometimes they don't fit the collet or cause chip-out on the wood. One effed up project will cost you more in wood and time.

Great bit
Bought this to cut ball type feet for tables (red oak); a lot of the cut is end grain. This Freud bit really cut cleanly (I wasn't using the smaller blades that create the step profile, just the round over portion). Freud didn't make a bearing-less profile for the other cut.So for this project I bought a CMT bit to cut the inner radius and though new, it did not cut near as cleanly as the Freud. It cut better than my used 3/4 bit, but that one has been used for cutting phenolic and the corners are chipped off it. I've never been able to truly compare different brand bits as I never used more than one new bit at a time until now. I was pleasantly surprised to see how the Freud cut better because I always suspected they were better than most others I've used.I have a number of CMT bits and think they are good; the new one was sharp enough to cut my finger just lifting it up into the machine mounted router, but most of my bits are Freud. They are sharp and stay that way a long time... if you don't cut phenolic.

Very smooth cuts, must be well balanced because I get no vibration from it
I haven't had it long enough to tell you how durable it is, but since it is a Freud I expect it to last. I've only used it on Southern Yellow Pine (regular pine and KDAT, Kiln Dried After Treated), and it has left a smooth finish each time. Is it worth twice the price of the yellow "no name" brand that I've seen advertised and reviewed on Amazon? I was sorely tempted to buy the cheaper one, but one thing I'm doing with this is making 1-1/2 dowels, and for various reasons I don't want to have to sand them when I'm done. So, for me, this one seems worth the extra money.

Definitely a quad cut bit
I was worried that I wouldn't receive the product I had asked for due to other reviews, but the price was worth the risk in my opinion. This is a wonderful blade that arrived sharp and without damage. It certainly does have four separate blades for cutting. I definitely recommend purchasing at this price it will last much longer than the cheaper alternatives. Buy three blades or one it ends up saving you money.
