UPDATE: I returned the first replacement pair and took a chance on another. They’re better, but still the very tips of the blades act more like tweezers than scissors. They just aren’t the quality they used to be. I’ve had these scissors for almost 4 years so they’ve lasted longer than any other cuticle scissors I’ve owned. However, in the last couple of weeks they’ve become useless. The blades act more like tweezers than scissors - they grab but don’t cut. My husband tightened the screw (good luck finding a screwdriver to fit perfectly) but they still only grab. I’m going to try sharpening them but I’ve never had much luck sharpening scissors.

These little scissors are the real deal. A finely crafted precision instrument. Makes trimming cuticles a breeze. Love 'em! Thumbs up.

These are very good quality. If you are guy (or female) with thick cuticles they are perfect. If you have more delicate cuticles like me you have to be very careful when you cut. If the tips were longer and thinner, they would work better for me. The tips are very sharp, and I actually ended up piercing my nail base trying to use them. I am more careful now, and don't attempt to cut more delicate ones. After a shower is better, because the cuticles are softer and pull away from the nail bed better.

A thread got loose on a leather strap. I needed scissors that can cut very small surface with amazing accuracy. I used a 10x magnifier to see as I made cuts to tiny threads, a few at a time. The result was impressive and this one use paid for the scissors. Problem-solved. It is well-built to high standards. Keep one handy!
