Spigen Liquid Crystal [Anti-Yellowing Technology] Designed for iPhone 13 Pro Case (2021) - Crystal Clear

Used for 7 months. I love the fit and the look when it’s new. I just ordered a new one because the original case was so yellow as you can see in the pictures, it just looked terrible. False advertising! The price is cheap enough to just buy another every 6 months. It would be better being accurately described as “Yellowing”.

After 6 mos it starts to yellow. But it’s inexpensive enough to replace!

If you don't care about using magsafe, this case gets the job done. I returned the Apple branded clear case because it was so slippery, it would slide off the table or even out of my hands if my hands were sweaty. The Spigen case is easy to grip and is not slippery at all. I wipe my phone down a lot with alcohol wipes cause I work in the hospital and it hasn't yellowed yet! I've dropped my phone a couple of times already and it's kept my phone free from damage. Great case!

Edited to add that this clear case has definitely yellowed quite a bit in six months. The case still stands up but it looks almost amber in color. Thinking of ordering another or trying a different company.This is your no-frills phone case and my go to since an iPhone 6s many years ago. These cases adequately protect my phone from the occasional drop from an average height and I have no complaints. It doesn’t add much thickness and it allows me to keep the sleek feel of my iPhone.

I bought this case on September 28th and by the end of December the "ewwwww" factor was beyond acceptable. It started to turn yellow around the 2-month mark and started getting worse faster from there. I suppose if I wanted to keep my phone looking decent with a clear case on it, it would cost me an average of $72 per year if I bought a new case every 2 months.I have been using clear cases on my phone since they were rare and not widely produced (~10 years). I have never owned a clear case that didn't yellow. I think my strategy going forward will be to buy the cheapest clear cases I can find from warehouse deals. Judging by drop tests I watched on YouTube, the iPhone 13 is extremely durable, and a thinner / cheaper case will offer perfectly adequate protection. I also use a glass screen protector which is fantastic and nearly invisible.What really bothers me is that at the time I bought this case, it was brand new on the market with only a couple of reviews. Now there are over 400. Each and every reviewer has been ripped off by the claim that this case is non-yellowing. 400 by roughly $13 is $5200 (the price of the case has increased). And these numbers don't even include the much larger proportion of buyers who never write reviews. It sickens me that the manufacturer has cashed in like this.I contacted them, and they wrote back with this disclaimer (quote):"Due to the nature of the clear or light colored TPU, there is a possibility that it will absorb colors and heat from its surroundings, causing it to yellow / discolor.To decelerate the yellowing / discoloring process, we recommend keeping the case away from harsh lights or heat, or darker dye fabrics.While the oxidation of the TPU is not a defect, we do want you to be fully satisfied with your experience with us and would like to offer a one time replacement of the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Designed for iPhone 13 Pro Case (2021) - Matte Black, which will not show the redox process."The yellowing issue was not caused by any one of the above conditions. And if I had wanted an ugly matte black case, I would have bought an ugly matte black case. The proper thing to have offered was to add their "anti-yellowing" disclaimer to this listing and issue me a refund (as if they can't afford it).What satisfies me more than anything is to slash their profits by sharing my experience. I just wish so much that it wasn't this late.UPDATE:I did find another clear TPU case that was about $3.65 at the time of purchase (shipped by Amazon). I bought 6 cases (a years' supply) for less than $20 before tax. They claim theirs is anti-yellowing too (which you and I both know is BS), but at that price I can afford to replace them every 2 months. The price has since risen to $6.99, but it is still half the price of the Spigen case and just as perfect as far as fit. And I might add that the buttons are more responsive. I resisted getting a clear case for a long time, largely because I had seen a number of other ones that seemed cheap and also turned yellow over time. I can't say whether the "anti-yellowing technology" used in this will actually prevent yellowing, but as of right now I am very happy with the case. It allows me to still see things like the back of the phone and the shiny stainless steel trim, and it has just the right amount of grip for me. Enough so that it doesn't feel like it will slide out of my hand, but not so much that it is hard to slide in and out of a pocket. I also like how the case lights up around the perimeter of the phone when you turn the flashlight on.

It's funny they advertise it having anti-yellowing technology. They should probably try again. After 11 months, my case is very yellow and gross. I assume that's a problem with all clear cases at this price point. The case itself is very good - good fit, good protection, not too heavy or bulky. If you really want a clear case and don't mind replacing it frequency, this isn't a bad option. But I'd recommend going with a different color so you don't have a discoloration problem.

I got this case for my iPhone 13 Pro and I’m happy with it so far. It has a great grip feel and it super clear to show off the color of the phone. I haven’t dropped the phone yet but I’m sure it’ll had good drop protection. The case protrudes a bit further than the cameras to make sure they’re safe from drops.

I like the silicone for it’s non-slip properties. Makes the phone feel secure in your hand. It’s thin and lightweight, so only time will tell how durable and protective it will be. As long as it protects my phone, I’m happy with the look, the feel and the price.

Es geht einfach nix über Spigen. Ich nutze diese Art Hülle schon seit Generationen des iPhones. Griffigkeit - super, Schutz - überragend. Nur vergilbt sie. Das ist das einzige Manko

Questa custodia della Spigen è molto bella perchè con la sua semplicità e trasparenza esalta la bellezza dell'Iphone. Inoltre protegge benissimo lo smartphone comprese le fotocamere, avendo uno spessore maggiore al posteriore. Si nota subito la differenza del materiale utilizzato e della cura dei particolari rispetto alle altra custodie presenti sul mercato. Che dire, a questo prezzo per me non c'è di meglio. Ah ho preso anche il loro vetro temperato.
