StorkCraft Marco Island Captain's Bed with Trundle and Drawers - Twin (Gray)

I do like & highly recommend this bed but for a pre-teen or teen (over 10). With mattress IMO the top bed is too high for little ones or active sleepers. The assy. instruction do leave a bit to be desired. However, it is sturdy & has better quality & a cleaner look (comments for other beds: open bolt heads showing) then other beds. I am currently only using the trundle at this time as I was seeking a daybed & it came out too high for my use. I will look for another design to work better for me & once found, will likely donate this bed to habitat for humanity or housing assistance rather then send it back. :)

I did not like the delivery of this item. The boxes were left on the stairs or steps going into the home. Not sure what company delivered the item but they left them on the steps of the home. It was raining and were wet. In addition this item was wood and ran the risk of being damaged. The boxes, and there were several of various sizes, were heavy and left on the front steps to the porch. They were not even on the porch. I couldn't even get into the steps to move the boxes and had to drag the boxes, (too heavy for customer to lift) up the steps to porch and then drag in the door.😒 Once the boxes were in the home had to open boxes and take up stairs for assembly. Family member completed assembly in about 2 hours. This was not the best experience for delivery. However, I am pleased with the product itself. Not ndamaged or anything missing. Just need to do a better job in delivery of larger items.Unhappy with the way the delivery of my item was handled. Disgruntled customer in Baltimore MD.

We ordered this bed in white after seeing it "in person" at our friend's house, they had one in brown. I was a little hesitant ordering furniture online, but after a few visits to various furniture store, I realized I could pay double for the same type of bed. So we took a chance and I am so glad we did.My 3.5 daughter absolutely loves her "big girl" bed and the fact that she can invite friend over (eventually) for a sleepover. Here is what I like:- The bed was shipped promptly and arrived in just a few days (thanks Amazon). I was concerned reading some reviews that some parts may arrive damaged, but perhaps because it was shipped from California and we live in CA, there were fewer chances for it to get damaged. All pieces arrived in good condition.- This bed looks really nice, great value for the price. I was very hesitant of sinking $1000+ on a bed for a 3.5 YO and decided to instead get a nicer mattress.- I like how compact it is and yet we have an option of putting my daughter and her soon to arrive sibling in one room eventually, when we have guests or for sleepovers. I would like to mention that because this bed has a trundle, it is pretty tall. I bought my daughter a step stool and also a memory foam bumper that goes under the fitted sheet so she doesn't roll off of it. It's a great set-up and she loves climbing up into her bed.Now here is why I'm only giving it 4 stars:- My husband spent good 4-5 hours to put the bed together. One major design flaw - the wood planks that the mattress rests on (both the top level and the trundle) do not have wholes for screws on each plank nor does the base of the bed. There are 10+ planks in each and only 3 of them have wholes to put the screws in. And the rest - bring your power tools - will have to be drilled in. And you don't want to rely on only 3 planks being secure, this is the part that holds that heavy mattress.- Trundle bed wheels are super small. We have carpet in my daughters room and it's very hard to move the trundle in and out. Our friends have it on hardwood and it's much easier to roll.- Drawers are kind of flimsy and not that deep. But I like having some storage for bed sheets, so I'm ok with that.Overall - we are happy with our purchase and do recommend this bed.

I bought this bed years ago but it lasts for a long time. I just changed to something else. The value was good, it came in great condition, and was easy enough to put together with two people.

This bed is awesome! It is sturdy and well built and we couldn't be happier. It was easy to put together. My 11 year old daughter and I finished the project in less than 3 hours (with her acting as the foreman, lol). We already had a thin foam twin mattress which fit perfectly on the trundle. Make sure that you open the boxes in order (1 of 4 through 4 of 4) to keep assembly on track and simple and make sure to complete it with two people to save yourself some time and hassle. Hats off to Storkcraft on their product.

We have a small home and needed beds for the grandkids. This trundle bed hits the mark. Sturdy enough for the twice a year visits and looks nice when not in use. The three useable drawers are great for storing books, toys, linens, etc. The trundle bed was easy to slide in and out, even on carpet. We followed other reviewers’ advice on buying a six inch foam mattress for the bottom and it’s a perfect fit even with bedding. Assembly went as expected with easy to follow instructions. As long as we adhere to the weight limit guidelines and no one gets too rambunctious, I think the bed will provide several years of use. Good purchase.

We are very pleased with our order. Thr bed looks exactly like the pictures. Very sturdy with a nice polish. Recently ordered another one. My kids loved it!

I absolutely love these beds I got the white for my daughter and grey for my son. I love that the trundle can be pushed away my toddlers are little daredevils so I did not want bunk beds. But I wanted to have the second for when my niece and nephew sleeps over. They love is so much they have asked me to move in with me. Very Sturdy my nephew is 14 and is quite comfortable. Would definitely buy again for my niece
