EDIT 3/1/18: I am downgrading my original review from 4 stars to 3. Unfortunately, the item doesn't stand the test of time. The item browned in the sunlight, and traffic (particularly from kids and dogs) caused it to warp and unravel. We finally decided to throw it away.It was good while it lasted, though, which was about 1.5 years. If you don't have kids and dogs, and if you can keep it out of too much direct sunlight, you could probably get much more mileage out of it than we did.--ORIGINAL REVIEW--First off, it looks every bit as terrific as the photos show, which is why it gets 4 stars instead of 3. It's also very soft, at least once you've gotten all the sticks and hard fibers out. Before buying, though, you should be aware that:1.) Because it's natural fiber, it has a LOT of dirt, sticks, and hard fiber pieces stuck into it. I spent a good week walking over it and using scissors to cur out sharp and hard pieces. It's much better now.2.) It's a very large weave, which means that it will fray, stretch, and warp fairly easily. You need to be okay with a more "rustic" look if you get this rug. Ours has several pulls, but the bad ones can usually be fixed by tucking them back in.REGARDING THE COLOR on the Bleached version, the staged photo is most accurate - we were worried when we bought because the direct overhead view looked a little yellowy, but it is a nice natural bleached color that's perfect for our dining room.Overall, expect some mess and some maintenance. But if you like the rustic look, this is a good product for a great price.

The rug is beautiful but the completely wrong color!! I ordered the off white which looks much more like an off white grey tone and the color of the rug is like a tan beige. Great rug but false advertising on the color. It was supposed to go in my living room but I put it in my patio just because of how nice the rug was.

I love this rug. It’s perfect if you’re trying to find a white / off-white jute rug that doesn’t completely break the bank. I will say it does shed some, especially with the tassels, but overall I’m very happy with my purchase.

Bought this rug in September and let me tell you.... It looks nice at first but GOOD LORD does it she'd with fibers worse than any dog or cat! Also where the hell did all the sand come from? I laid the rug down and decided to move it a week later and there was more sand than the Sahara Desert!!!!It's also falling apart after only 3 months.

The rug is not as light colored as on the photo but I actually like it that it is a little darker. I like the size and it doesn’t feel rough on bare feet. The only thing I didn’t like about it is when I rolled it out, it shed a lot I continuously had to vacuum while laying it out. I just got it yesterday and it looks durable (u must try it yourself). No kids in the house so it’ll probably last us a while.Update:After a month of using it. Well it does shed a lot of fiber. I have a dark hardwood floor so I can see it. I have to sweep dust under the carpet all the time. I’ve read online that those are small fibers as well. Our windows are shut and not at a busy road.

I love this rug, but knew I was taking a risk having two big dogs. It’s wearing quicker than I had hoped, but I took the risk because I couldn’t find anything I liked better. t’s a great rug, but if you are on the fence about it like I was due to having dogs, too many want to choose another.

The rug was nice but there were some issues. Loved the visual effect and color but didn’t like the very long fringe and it wasn’t soft. I contemplated cutting the fringe but decided against it. The rug I received had no Oder nor was it dirty as some complained about.

True to their size. They’re very sturdy, but they don’t do well with stains, pet stains, or pets. Unfortunately. Otherwise I liked mine. 2 of them got lost in shipping and never showed up. So that sucked. And the bleached isn’t as white as I was hoping; it’s more of a cream. Nit picky things to complain about I suppose. Just being honest.
