Oh my, what a book! It's trully exellent.
I am a Japanese clinician working for a general hospital. I purchased this book to deepen my understanding of disease mechanisms. Back in my student days, most classes skipped over topics, except for the TCA cycle, leaving me with a sense of dissatisfaction that has lingered for over 30 years since graduation. That’s brought me to try this book. For a Japanese, it’s an foreign language book with over 600 pages, which might feel overwhelming at first. However, it is structured into 35 short lectures. If you read one lecture per day, you can get through it in just over a month. At the end of each lecture, there is a summary with diagrams, which is very helpful for reinforcing your understanding. I can see the authors’ thoughtfulness and commitment to helping readers thoroughly understand the content. I really appreciate it.
